Good morning
Welcome to today's top news.
Leading the News . . .
President Trump signs COVID relief, spending bill . . . President Trump’s Sunday night decision to sign the combination COVID relief/government spending plan averts a shutdown tomorrow night. The government was funded through 11:59 p.m. Monday. But Mr. Trump’s signature means the government is now funded through September 30, 2021. The plan passed with 359 votes in the House and 92 votes in the Senate. President Trump objected to foreign
aid provisions which he deemed "pork" in the spending provision of the combination measure. Many Republicans opposed any stimulus checks. But after wrangling, the sides settled on $600 checks. Fox News
CDC says people with underlying conditions can get vaccine . . . The CDC on Saturday issued a new guidance stating that people with underlying health conditions can receive a coronavirus vaccine. The guidance explains that “adults of any age with certain underlying medical conditions are at increased risk for severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19.” The vaccine “may be administered to people with underlying
medical conditions provided they have not had a severe allergic reaction to any of the ingredients in the vaccine.” The Hill
Seems like a no brainer. Even Dr. Fauci could have figured that one out.
Americans still buck government instructions to abstain from travel for Christmas . . . More than 1.1 million people traveled through airports around the United States on Saturday, nearing Wednesday's pandemic travel record – despite warnings from the CDC to stay at home to quell coronavirus cases. The Transportation Security Administration said it screened 1,128,773 people the day after Christmas. That's roughly half the
number of travelers screened on the same day in 2019 and just 62,000 less than the 1,191,123 screened Dec. 23 – the most on any day in the U.S. since the pandemic began. The previous pandemic record was set the Sunday after Thanksgiving, when 1,176,091 travelers were screened. USA Today
The American people have their priorities straight: family, religion, freedom. They can make risk vs. benefit calculation while taking precautions without the states's interference in their lives.

Majority of voters say Trump "likely" to run for Presidency again in 2024 . . . Fifty-nine percent of registered voters in the Dec. 10-14 Hill-HarrisX poll said it is either somewhat or very likely that Trump will run again the White House in four years, while 41 percent said it is either very or somewhat unlikely. Sixty-eight percent of Republican voters said it's likely that Trump will run
again along with 59 percent of independents. Democratic voters were split on the issue, with 50 percent saying it was likely Trump would run again and 50 percent saying it was not likely. Though Trump has yet to concede the 2020 election he has floated the idea of running for president once more in four years. The Hill
You'd better believe it, he will.
Sidney Powell shares 270-page binder of documents buttressing election fraud claims . . . Sidney Powell's team put together a binder of election fraud claims and related materials that undergird their claims challenging the integrity of President-elect Joe Biden's victory. Powell reaffirmed her allegations that White House officials were blocking her access to President Trump after the former federal prosecutor says she was
verbally offered a role as special White House counsel to investigate fraud. Powell could be seen with at least part of the binder's contents during a recent visit to the White House. Washington Examiner
Sidney Powell is a brave woman who is not afraid to take on the elite.
Biden silent on death penalty . . . It is not clear whether Biden would immediately enact a moratorium on executions upon inauguration or whether he would only seek abolition through Congress. Regardless, Biden's posture on death penalty is a radical departure from that of President Donald
Trump, who has overseen the most federal executions in at least a century. Biden's history-making stance—a reversal of a position he appeared to hold as recently as his time in the Obama White House—is a product of the influence of the so-called criminal justice reform movement on him and senior members of both parties. Ending capital punishment is not popular with Americans. A majority of Americans, including 40 percent of
Democrats, still favor death for murderers; nearly 60 percent oppose abolition. Washington Free Beacon
Americans not interested in Trump investigations by Dems . . . A poll found that only 2% of Americans said investigating President Trump should be a top priority for the incoming Biden administration.
Americans are not interested in any more Democratic investigations of President Trump and his administration. Such investigations rank last as a priority on a wish-list of issues for President-elect Joseph R. Biden to address in the very near future. An expensive, unproductive and unwarranted probe of Mr. Trump‘s activities is not one of them — suggesting that Americans have a case of impeachment fatigue. The Washington Times

Trump to hold rally in Georgia ahead of Senate runoffs . . . President Trump on Sunday announced plans to hold a rally in Georgia to garner support for the Republican candidates the day before the state's two Senate runoffs. The president tweeted on Sunday that he will head to Georgia on
Monday, Jan. 4, for a rally backing Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and David Perdue (R-Ga.) before the runoffs that will determine which party controls the U.S. Senate. “On behalf of two GREAT Senators, @sendavidperdue & @KLoeffler, I will be going to Georgia on Monday night, January 4th., to have a big and wonderful RALLY,” Trump posted. “So important for our Country that they win!” The Hill
Biden builds team to get aggressive on regs . . . President-elect Joe Biden is building a team of seasoned government professionals who can help him embark on an aggressive regulatory agenda once he takes office. Biden is expected to lean on executive actions and regulatory work — both to accomplish his own agenda and dismantle President Trump’s. Biden has already drawn in experts with deep government and regulatory
backgrounds to head some of his agencies. Many of those who will serve in his White House or broader administration have worked in multiple previous administrations. The Hill
Once Biden has his way, no honest American will be able to get out of bed without breaking a regulation of one sort or another.

Russia researching how to weaponize Ebola . . . Experts fear Russia could weaponize the deadly Ebola virus as part of a catastrophic biological weapons project. Unit 68240 of Moscow's FSB spy agency - linked to the Salisbury Novichok poisonings - is thought to be behind the programme codenamed Toledo. It is believed the unit is researching both Ebola and the even-more deadly Marburg virus. The diseases have caused
devastating outbreaks and lead to organ failure and severe internal bleeding. Daily Mail
Russian hackers also affecting state, local governments . . . The top U.S. cybersecurity agency said that an extensive campaign that gave hackers access to networks at several federal agencies is also "impacting" state and local governments. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said in a statement posted to its website that the intrusion, which targeted U.S. tech company SolarWinds's software to infiltrate
government systems, was “impacting enterprise networks across federal, state, and local governments, as well as critical infrastructure entities and other private sector organizations.” “This threat actor has the resources, patience, and expertise to gain access to and privileges over highly sensitive information if left unchecked. Ex-Israeli UN Ambassador urges Biden to continue Trump momentum . . . Israel's former ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon offered insight Sunday into what a Biden presidency could mean for the Middle East, and urged President-elect Joe Biden to "continue the
momentum" created by President Trump's peace initiatives in the region. "I hope the President-elect will continue with the momentum because it’s good not only for Israel or the modern Arab countries, it is good for the U.S.," he told Fox News host Eric Shawn. Danon praised Trump for moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, pulling the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear deal, and brokering the Abraham Accords. Fox News
Russian trawler sinks in Barents Sea, 17 feared dead . . . A Russian fishing trawler capsized and sank in the freezing waters of the northern Barents Sea on Monday, with 17 of its 19 crew members feared dead. The Emergency Situations Ministry attributed the sinking to a heavy build-up of ice on the trawler, which sank off the coast of the Novaya Zemlya archipelago. Two crew members had been rescued by another fishing boat in the area and
that searches to try to recover the rest of the crew were ongoing. “Chances of survival in such conditions, even if someone was wearing a wet suit, are practically zero,” a source familiar with the situation said, citing high winds, a storm, and an air temperature of around minus minus 22 Fahrenheit. Reuters
Novaya Zemlya is home to Russia's nuclear testing site, where in 2019, Moscow conducted a "low yield" nuclear test, in contravention of "zero yield" standards. Russia's sophisticated nuclear doctrine is a centerpiece of Putin's war fighting strategy targeting the U.S.

Big surprise. The Deep State and the Big Tech have been marching hand in hand "governing" America.
COVID making healthcare leaders billionaires . . . COVID-19 has helped turn dozens of healthcare leaders into newly-minted billionaires. Fifty doctors, scientists and healthcare entrepreneurs earned billionaire status this year — the majority of whom are from China, where the virus first emerged in December 2019. Of the new cohort, there were 28 “pandemic billionaires” who hailed from China, the outlet reported. Among the
richest of the Chinese billionaires is Hu Kun, who is the chairman of medical device manufacturer Contec Medical Systems, the outlet reported. His fortune is estimated to now be $3.9 billion thanks to the company going public this year as it saw strong sales of its hospital medical products, which include nebulizers, stethoscopes and blood pressure monitors. Scientists were also among some of the wealthiest of the group. New York Post
Isn't it only logical that the Chinese virus produced Chinese billionaires?

Nashville bomber thought he would be a hero for fighting 5G . . . Nashville bomber Anthony Quinn Warner hoped he would be ‘hailed a hero’ for targeting AT&T because he believed 5G cellular technology was killing people, Daily Mail can exclusively reveal. The 63-year-old computer tech - who died in the suspected suicide blast but was identified Sunday from DNA found in his mangled RV - was ‘heavily into conspiracy theories’,
according to a source close to the investigation. Various baseless theories have circulated since the lightning-fast 5G network was introduced, some claiming it’s a tool to spy on Americans, others speculating that it has fueled the spread of COVID-19. Daily Mail
Concealed-carry permit holder kills suspect, thwarts armed robbery . . . A gun owner with a concealed-carry permit shot and killed an armed robbery suspect at a Chicago cell phone store on Saturday night, according to police. It was not immediately clear whether the 29-year-old gun owner was the business owner, an employee or a customer. The gun owner shot the armed suspect at least two times in the 7 p.m. incident,
police told the station. The suspect was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead. Fox News
Guns do indeed save lives and prevent crime, although we never hear of such cases from gun-control obsessed MSM activists.

she would be released a few days early. Fox News

Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria is "Hillary" and pretended to be Spanish . . . After a slew of accusations she 'faked' her Spanish heritage, Hilaria Baldwin confessed Sunday that her real name is Hillary and she was actually born in Boston, not Majorca. 'Yes, I am a white girl. I am a white girl,' the 36-year-old influencer admitted in a rambling seven-minute video. 'Let's be very clear that Europe has a lot of white people in
there and my family is white. Ethnically, I am a mix of many, many, many things. Culturally, I grew up with two cultures so it's really as simple as that.' Daily Mail
Maybe Hilaria and Pocahontas can get together and discuss their identity crises.
Man clears snow with flamethrower . . A Kentucky man is going viral for his unconventional idea of clearing his snowy driveway with a flamethrower. Timothy Browning stunned fans after a relative filmed him standing in his driveway wearing nothing but a white bathrobe, socks, slippers and a hat, recreating Cousin Eddie from the iconic holiday movie "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." In the nearly 30-second clip, Browning
chugs a beer and throws it on the ground as he casually watches the giant flames in front of him melt away the flakes. "God bless American rednecks!" Browning wrote on Facebook, where he posted the footage. Fox News
