Good morning
Welcome to today's top news.
Leading the News . . .
Business involving Joe Biden’s brother also under federal investigation . . . So now the brother and the son of the likely new president will be under investigation when he takes office. Uh, is this going to bother Democrats? The press? At least a mainstream outlet is
reporting this. According to Politico: “The federal investigation into President-elect Joe Biden’s son Hunter has been more extensive than a statement from Hunter Biden indicates, according to a person with firsthand knowledge of the investigation. “On Wednesday, Hunter Biden said he had been contacted about a tax investigation out of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware. “In addition to the probe into Hunter Biden, federal authorities in the Western District of
Pennsylvania are conducting a criminal investigation of a hospital business in which Joe Biden’s brother James was involved. Federal officials have asked questions about James Biden’s role in the business, according to a second person with direct knowledge of that investigation, who said it remains ongoing. White House Dossier
No chance Joe Biden could have been involved in any of this or known about it. No chance! And let me ask you a question. What happens when China tells President Biden that they will release 300,000 Hunter Biden emails unless he backs off on Hong Kong?
FDA panel recommends approval of Pfizer vaccine . . . Pandemic-weary Americans are about to get a shot in the arm. A government advisory panel on Thursday backed the use of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, paving the way for the Food and Drug Administration to grant it the green light. In a 17-4 vote with one abstention, the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee concluded that the shot appears safe and effective for emergency
use in people 16 and older. The FDA is expected to follow the recommendation from its expert advisers and could make its ruling at any time. Depending on how fast the agency signs off, shots could begin within days for some health care workers and nursing home residents. New York Post
CDC says daily death toll to exceed 9/11 for two months . . . Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield issued a stark warning about the worsening death toll from the coronavirus on Thursday, saying that in a coming brutal stretch of time the country is likely to see more deaths from the virus each day than from the Sept. 11 attacks or Pearl Harbor.
“We are in the timeframe now that probably for the next 60 to 90 days we're going to have more deaths per day than we had at 9/11 or we had at Pearl Harbor,” Redfield said. The Hill
New Hampshire House speaker dead of Covid-19 a week after swearing-in . . . The speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives died of COVID-19, a medical examiner ruled on Thursday - raising concerns that other members of one of the world's largest legislative bodies might have been exposed at their swearing-in last week. Dick Hince, who was sworn in on December 2 as leader of the state's newly Republican-led, 400-member Legislature,
died on Wednesday. He was 71 and had been starting his seventh two-year term in the state House. Daily Mail
What is the New Hampshire House doing with 400 members? Just asking.

Barr worked to keep Hunter Biden probes from public view . . . Attorney General William Barr has known about a disparate set of investigations involving Hunter Biden’s business and financial dealings since at least this spring, a person familiar with the matter said, and worked to avoid their public disclosure during the heated election campaign. Justice Department guidelines advise investigators against taking overt actions in a run-up to an
election so as not to be seen as affecting the outcome. Wall Street Journal
Biden and Harris are Time Persons of the Year . . . President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris were jointly named Time magazine’s 2020 “Person of the Year” on Thursday, chosen from a list of finalists that included the man Biden vanquished at the polls - President Donald Trump. The Democratic former vice president and his running mate, a California senator whose election broke gender and racial barriers, together “offered
restoration and renewal in a single ticket,” Time said. Time editor-in-chief and CEO Edward Felsenthal credited the victors with succeeding in “an existential debate over what reality we inhabit.” “For changing the American story, for showing that the forces of empathy are greater than the furies of division, for sharing a vision of healing in a grieving world, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are Time’s 2020 Person of the Year.” Reuters
Well, I guess if Obama can win the Nobel Peace prize for doing nothing, then Biden can be named Man of the Year for sitting in his basement . . . and doing nothing. Except offering platitudes about unity while advancing policies that are going to further divide the nation.
Greenwald blasts media for failing to cover Hunter Biden during election . . . Glenn Greenwald blasted the mainstream media Thursday for refusing to cover the Hunter Biden controversy before the 2020 presidential election. Greenwald resigned as the co-founding editor of The Intercept in October after he accused his now-former colleagues of censoring an article critical of then-Democratic nominee Joe
Biden. "We need to recognize what a historic crime and disgrace this is," Greenwald began, "not only in journalism, but as soon as these [Hunter Biden] documents became known, the operatives in the intelligence community, the CIA, John Brennan, James Clapper, Michael Hayden -- all of the standard professional liars -- issued a letter claiming that this material was the hallmark of Russian disinformation, even though they had no basis for thinking that. "And that gave the media
permission to lie to the public continuously and Silicon Valley [permission] to censor these materials," Greenwald went on. Fox News
Pelosi backs Swalwell . . . Nancy Pelosi has said that she does not have 'any concern' about California congressman Eric Swalwell, after it emerged that he had a years-long relationship with a Chinese spy, and is refusing to say whether it was sexual. Pelosi, the Speaker of the
House, was asked on Thursday morning about the detailed report in Axios of Christine Fang's activities from 2011-15. 'I don't have any concern about Mr Swalwell,' she said. Daily Mail
If sleeping with a Chinese intelligence agent does not get you thrown off the intelligence committee, then the earth is headed off its axis and probably will slam into Mars.
Republicans divide on Texas lawsuit . . . Even as more than 100 House Republicans on Thursday signed an amicus brief in support of the Texas lawsuit aimed at overturning the election results in four swing states, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) said he was puzzled by the legal
theory behind the challenge. Cornyn, a former Texas Supreme Court justice, said it’s inappropriate for states to interfere in the laws of other states. “I do not understand the legal theory. I don’t want other states having a chance to change Texas law based on a similar effort. If you can do it for the election, you can do it if somebody wanted to challenge, for example, Texas law on the Second Amendment,” he said. The Hill
Contested states argue against Texas lawsuit . . . In briefs submitted with the Supreme Court on Thursday, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin slammed the Texas lawsuit to prevent those four states from casting their electoral
votes as a "meritless" effort to "decimate the electorate of the United States." Fox News
Trump brings back Susan Rice — to do domestic policy! . . . Who knows what this is about? Former Barack Obama National Security Advisor and UN ambassador Susan Rice will be back in power, but this time to serve as Joe Biden’s chief domestic policy advisor.
She has no serious experience in domestic policy, as far as I’m aware. I guess this is the booby prize for being passed over for secretary of state. As a White House official, she will not require confirmation. So she doesn’t have to talk with the Senate about uncomfortable things like unmaskings and claiming Benghazi was a
spontaneous outburst of passion. White House Dossier
What a humiliation. I can't believe she took it.
Tulsi Gabbard introduces bill to allow only biological females in women's sports . . . Democratic Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and Republican Oklahoma Rep. Markwayne Mullin introduced legislation that would clarify Title IX protections for female athletes as based on biological sex, a press release said Thursday. The “Protect Women’s Sports Act” recognizes the different abilities conferred by biological sex, the statement says.
Title IX protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive federal funding. Daily Caller
Women playing women's sports? Too controversial!

Trudeau invited Chinese army for cold weather training in Canada . . . 'Top secret' government documents have revealed that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invited China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) to send its troops to Ontario for cold weather training and was unhappy when it was canceled, according to two Canadian media outlets. Members of the PLA were scheduled to attend a military exercise at a base
in Ontario in 2019. The training was then canceled by Chief of Defense Staff Jonathan Vance due to concerns that China could use the trip to obtain information from Canada. But Trudeau was displeased about the cancelation, because he thought it would look like retaliation over China's detention of two Canadian nationals, and insisted Chinese officials be let down gently, the memos show. Daily Mail
The Trudeaus have been a plague on the North American continent for half a century.
Bin Laden henchman free after judge rules he is too fat for jail and could get Covid . . . A former Osama bin Laden henchman convicted in two deadly 1998 bombings is free and living in the UK this week after being released early — thanks to a Manhattan federal judge who agreed the terrorist was way too obese to survive the coronavirus behind bars. Adel Abdel Bary, 60, had spent 21 years in a New Jersey prison for his role in the 1998 al
Qaeda bombings of two US embassies in Africa that killed 224 people dead, including 12 Americans. New York Post
Trying to figure the logic here. Wouldn't the fact that he could die in jail of a disease be a reason to keep him there?

Trump brings more peace to the Middle East . . . He’s been called a warmonger and an anti-Semite. And meantime, he has done more than any other president to secure the peaceful existence of Israel, facilitating several peace deals between the Jewish state and Arab countries while reducing the influence and power of Israel’s chief nemesis, Iran. Now there are peaceful relations between Israel and Morocco, President Trump
announced. Another HISTORIC breakthrough today! Our two GREAT friends Israel and the Kingdom of Morocco have agreed to full diplomatic relations – a massive breakthrough for peace in the Middle East! White House Dossier
On Hannukah, Jews and Christians should lament the likely departure of the most pro-Israel president in history.

Businesses trying to figure out how to force workers back to the office . . . U.S. workers could soon face choices such as free COVID-19 shots and a cash bonus if all get immunized, or those unwilling to be vaccinated get reassigned or even lose their jobs. Those options are being studied by businesses hoping to bring at-home employees back without triggering a backlash or violating federal and state employment law.
Companies are consulting with lawyers, health care experts and polling their workers to gauge when to offer carrots and when to use a stick. Reuters

Department of Education launches free speech hotline . . . The Department of Education has launched a "free speech hotline" to combat the censorship of "dissenting voices" on college campuses. The department said it will give college students the ability to report campus free-speech violations directly to the department, which can then investigate the incidents. The creation of the hotline follows months of racial unrest and a
renewed push to punish students, faculty, and others who espouse ideas that do not comport with left-wing ideology. Washington Free Beacon
Well, that phone line will go dead the minute the Biden people get there, because they don't believe in free speech.
Five bicyclists are killed after truck hits group on a "retirement ride" . . . On a highway ride to celebrate a cyclist's retirement, five bicyclists were killed and four others were injured in a crash involving a truck, according to authorities. The Thursday morning crash happened at mile marker 35 on U.S. 95 south of Boulder City, according to Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman Jason Buratczuk. Around 9:40 a.m.,
a box truck struck a group of about 20 bicyclists. Four men and one woman died at the scene, according to authorities. Reno Gazette Journal

CNN anchor dons $380 "Facts First" sweater on air . . . CNN anchor Kate Bolduan sported a “facts first” sweater on-air Thursday that retails online for $380. Bolduan wore the pink sweater with the scripted inscription on “CNN Newsroom” and her photograph was promptly added as an advertisement for the outfit on Lingua Franca NYC’s website. Lingua Franca NYC, which made the sweater Bolduan wore,
is described in a 2018 Town and Country Magazine feature as producing “quippy, hand-stitched cashmere sweaters.” The “politically-minded luxury brand” is “part of the fashion resistance,” according to the article. Daily Caller
Couldn't she just had worn a sweatshirt and held up a little sign saying "facts first"?
