U.S. adults increasingly accept Marxist views, poll shows . . . A survey shows that U.S. adults, especially millennials, increasingly endorse Marxist views such as the rejection of private property and traditional morality, even though they don’t adopt Marxism as a label. The Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, which published the results last week, found in a representative poll of 2,000 U.S. adults that
one-third or more endorsed a dozen elements of Marxist theory, including those on racism and God. Pollster George Barna, the center’s founder and research director, said the results indicate that 10% of Americans have internalized Marxist ideology and now draw from it in their daily decisions, even though only 1% of Americans adopt Marxism as their primary worldview.
Mr. Barna, who founded the Christian evangelical polling firm The Barna Group in 1984, said U.S. adults pick up Marxist views without realizing it. “They may not like being thought of Marxist, but they don’t know what Marxist principles are, by and large, and so they are unwittingly embracing those principles,” he said. An October 2020 YouGov poll found that 26% of Americans supported “the gradual elimination of the capitalist system in favor of a more socialist system.” Washington Times
How about these 26% of "adults" pack up their valises and head out to China, Russia, and Cuba, where everyone is equal and everything is free, for a 5-year sabbatical. I guarantee, they'll be blooding their hands and knees, climbing Trump's Border Wall, begging to let them back in to the "unfair" and "racist" America.
Back in the USSR, we had a joke. As the government apparatchiks insisted how socialism was superior to the decadent and rotten capitalism, we would privately remark that "capitalism might be rotten but it surely smells delicious."
On a serious note, what's holding these people back? Unlike the Soviet Union, which restricted its citizens' travel outside of the country, America is not holding anyone by force here.
I am pitching a proposal for my second book, "Soviet Playbook: Socialism in America is giving flashback to the Russia I fled." There are a few excellent books on Socialism on the market, by established authors. None of them, however, have actually lived under a totalitarian socialist regime. So, mine would be based on direct experience, warning Americans how this story can end. Please send me a email or a tweet @Rebekah 0132, if you would actually buy such a book. Thank you! Rebekah
President Biden down to 38% approval in survey by major pollster . . . It’s no mystery. The reason is . . . he’s doing a bad job. According to Quinnipiac: President Joe Biden receives a negative 38 – 53 percent job approval rating, the lowest score he’s received from the American people on his job performance since taking office, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pea- ack) University national poll of adults released today. In
Quinnipiac’s last national poll released 3 weeks ago, he received a negative 42 – 50 percent job approval rating. Today, Republicans (94 – 4 percent) and independents (60 – 32 percent) disapprove of the job Biden is doing, while Democrats approve 80 – 10 percent. White House Dossier
Kamala Harris’ absence from spending negotiations feeds questions over White House role . . . Vice President Kamala Harris has been mostly missing in action during the spending talks on Capitol Hill, renewing questions about her role in the Biden White House and her overall effectiveness. Just one event was on Ms. Harris’ public calendar Tuesday. Washington Times
Trump accuses McConnell of 'folding' on debt ceiling . . . Former President Trump accused Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Wednesday of “folding” in his standoff with Democrats over the debt limit shortly after the senator proposed a plan to delay a potential default. “Looks like Mitch McConnell is folding to the Democrats, again,” Trump said in a statement on Wednesday afternoon. “He’s got all of the cards with the debt
ceiling, it’s time to play the hand. Don’t let them destroy our country!” Trump's statement came hours after McConnell offered Democrats a deal on temporarily resolving the impasse. The country is estimated to have just weeks before it defaults on the national debt — a scenario that Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has said would spark an economic crisis and make the U.S. "a permanently weaker nation." Pelosi's office denies claims on Trump meeting from Grisham's book . . . Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office is denying a claim by a former President Trump aide that the California Democrat once accused the White House of bugging her phone following a tense meeting with the then-commander in chief.
In her new book "I'll Take Your Questions Now," former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham described the explosive October 2019 meeting among Trump, Pelosi and now-Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer. The gathering at the White House, originally intended to focus on the response to Turkey as it carried out an offensive in northern Syria, quickly blew up as the president clashed with Pelosi and Schumer.
Grisham said of the face-to-face, which she said she was in the room for, "At one point, Pelosi stood up and pointed at the president. 'All roads with you lead to Russia,' she snapped. 'You gave Russia Ukraine and Syria.'" The Hill
Obama literally got tricked by Putin to "remove" chemical weapons from Ukraine, which enabled Moscow to secure a foothold in Syria and solidify its influence in the Middle East. I was literally briefing 'senior officials,' ahead of that move, about our assessment that the Russians were not going to do it. The chem weapons had to be dealt with by President Trump with a strike. Russia invaded Ukraine on Obama's watch, while he was foolishly befriending Putin by offering
flexibility and pressing on with Russia "reset."

Border Patrol confiscating record amount of narcotics at southern border . . . Despite being overwhelmed and understaffed, maligned by partisan detractors — even repudiated by some at the top of the very government they loyally serve — agents continue to perform hazardous drug interaction duties to protect Americans' health, security and lives. Customs and Border Protection Border Patrol Sectors continue to report
record amounts of drug confiscations along the southern border. Agents (and their canine companions) continue to achieve under hazardous conditions, despite being routinely maligned by partisan detractors — and even repudiated by some at the top of the very U.S. government they loyally and valiantly serve. Arizona Launches ‘Cyber Command’ Center After Logging 800,000 Security Attacks in September . . . Arizona’s counter terrorism efforts received a boost this week with the launch of a new computer security facility to combat ongoing cyber attacks on state information technology. On Oct. 4, Gov. Doug Ducey announced the creation of a new Cyber Command Center at a ceremony at the Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Counter Terrorism
Information Center in Phoenix. “Cybersecurity is homeland security. Our society is becoming increasingly interconnected through technology, and cybersecurity has become one of the most important issues facing Arizona,” Ducey said in a statement. In fiscal 2020, Arizona set aside $2.9 million to enhance cybersecurity controls and prevent threats on state IT equipment. Epoch Times
Russian hackers behind SolarWinds hack are trying to infiltrate US and European government networks . . . The Russian hackers behind a successful 2020 breach of US federal agencies have in recent months tried to infiltrate US and European government networks, cybersecurity analysts tracking the group told CNN. The Russian group has breached multiple technology firms in previously unreported activity, said Charles Carmakal, senior vice
president and CTO at cybersecurity firm Mandiant. The hackers have also used new tools and techniques in some of their operations this year, Carmakal said. " The group has compromised multiple government entities, organizations that focus on political and foreign policy matters, and technology providers that provide direct or indirect access to the ultimate target organizations within North America and Europe," Carmakal told CNN.A US official familiar with the matter told CNN that
federal agencies are tracking the latest actions of the Russian hackers. CNN
Yep, keep tracking, incompetent gov. apparatchiks. You've been doing it for 20+ years, maybe this time the "tracking" will work. See Chapter 5. Cyber Weapons: Waging War on U.S. Networks and American Minds of my book, Putin's Playbook: Russia's Secret Plan to Defeat America. Are you surprised the feds tried to sabotage its publication?

Moscow invites Taliban to Afghanistan talks on Oct. 20 . . . Russia will invite representatives of the Taliban to international talks on Afghanistan that it plans to host in Moscow on Oct. 20, President Vladimir Putin's special representative on Afghanistan said on Thursday. Moscow hosted an international conference on Afghanistan in March at which Russia, the United States, China and Pakistan released a joint statement calling on
the then-warring Afghan sides to reach a peace deal and curb violence. Since then, the United States and its allies withdrew their troops after 20 years on the ground, the Taliban seized power in a lightning advance and the previous government collapsed. Reuters
Afghan Gun Shops Sell US Weapons Seized by Taliban . . . U.S. weapons and military equipment left behind during the United States' withdrawal from Afghanistan are now being sold by gun dealers in the country. The NYT interviewed weapons dealers in Afghanistan's Kandahar Province who said Afghans have been selling an array of U.S. military gear that the Taliban seized from Afghan national troops when they took over the country in August.
U.S.-made equipment sold on the black market includes "pistols, rifles, grenades, binoculars and night-vision goggles," according to the report. Gun merchants told the Times the Taliban has been selling off weapons since the end of the insurgency and that Pakistan is a source of demand for the captured U.S. arms. "American-made weapons are in great demand, as they work very well and people know how to use them," one merchant said. Washington Free Beacon

Ben Carson: Vaccination mandates have no place in free society . . . Ben Carson, a retired pediatric neurosurgeon and former secretary of Housing and Urban Development, said Wednesday evening that mandated vaccinations against COVID-19 is “a bigger issue” than the public health merits of the jabs. “A lot of people think it’s about vaccines and vaccinations,” he told an online audience of Seventh-day Adventists rallied to oppose such
mandates. “It’s a much bigger issue than that. Remember that many people came to this country early on, to try to escape from governments and monarchs who were always mandating things,” he explained. Washington Times

Gas Prices Hit 7-Year High . . . Gas prices have reached a seven-year high, skyrocketing nearly 50 percent over the last year. The national average price of gas on Wednesday hit $3.22, according to AAA, up from $2.18 just a year ago. The spike comes as oil prices have surged in recent weeks to their highest level since 2018. Analysts say the elevated energy prices can be attributed to a global shortage of natural gas, which has heightened
demand for alternative fuel sources such as oil. Washington Free Beacon
Sticker shock: Dealerships add 'market adjustment' fees on sales amid inflation, supply-chain woes . . . Some car dealerships are charging thousands of dollars in "market adjustment" fees on top of the "manufacturer's suggested retail price" for new vehicles. Supply chain issues continue to plague the auto industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in vehicle shortages on dealers' new car lots.
There is currently a shortage of computer chips that the auto industry relies on for the production of new vehicles. U.S. auto sales are reportedly down by 14% in the third quarter compared to same time last year. Just the News
Real cost of inflation to average American household: An extra $175 a month . . . Over the past couple of months, Allison, a wife and mother of a toddler and teenager in Chicago, says she’s been spending about $50 more each week on groceries to feed her family — and that’s at a discount supermarket chain, Aldi’s. “I used to spend $70 a week, but all of sudden this summer, I noticed that I couldn’t leave the store without spending at
least $120,” said Allison, who works in education. Like millions of Americans whose income has not kept pace with inflation — up 5.3 percent in August compared with a year ago — Allison and her family are feeling the pinch of the rising cost of living and giving up some things just to make ends meet. New York Post
Biden was paying $5 million a day NOT to build the border wall . . . Turns out the contractors have contracts and still have to be paid. According to former Border Patrol chief Rodney Scott, at the start of the Biden administration, some $5 million a day was being spent as work on the wall stopped. Why not at least finish out the contracts? The wall by definition has to at least slow the flow of people into the United States, even if you think
there are better solutions. You see, most people have trouble walking through walls. It’s, you know, physics. But for President Biden, $5 million a day was spent so he would not be seen doing something Donald Trump wanted. White House Dossier
The Grinch may steal Christmas as toy delay looms . . . Given surging prices of shipping containers and clogs in the supply network, transportation costs to get toys for kids to U.S. soil are reaching new highs with three months until Christmas. "The pandemic has caused worldwide supply chain disruptions that have slowed imports into the U.S. and impacted retailers across the board," Jonathan Gold, National Retail Federation vice
president of supply chain and customs policy, told Fox Business. "Issues include U.S. port congestion, overseas container availability, ocean carrier capacity, lack of warehousing, lack of truck and rail capacity, and a shortage of labor. Fox Business
That may not be so bad. We don't need all that Chinese junk. Kids would appreciate what they've got so much more if they didn't unlimited amounts of toys. Back in the old country, where everyone was equal and everything was free, my sister and I had two toys for both of us, a teddy bear and a doll. My Mom managed "to get" (достать) these toys, because they were not just for sale in stores. Because you couldn't just buy anything, as
virtually nothing was available, there was a special word in Russia, достать, which connotes to buy something at an exorbitant price, by using your special connections or by bribing someone.
Sorry for these rants. I am fuming at how stupid and ignorant people who support socialism are.

US Energy Secretary Says Tapping Emergency Oil Reserves a Possible ‘Tool’ to Tame Fuel Prices . . . Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Wednesday said that the Biden administration is considering tapping the country’s emergency oil reserves to tame soaring gasoline prices, according to a Financial Times (FT) report. “It’s a tool that’s under consideration,” Granholm said at an FT energy transition summit when asked
the possibility of the United States tapping into its Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) as fuel prices reach seven-year highs due to higher demand as the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic eases. The U.S.-government owned SPR was established in 1973 and is located in the Gulf Coast region. It has a capacity of 727 million barrels, and the reserves are intended as a national security measure to support the United States in times of an energy emergency.
It is “the world’s largest supply of emergency crude oil,” the Department of Energy’s website states. Epoch Times

Australia’s COVID Police State Is The Future Liberals Secretly Want . . . Australia’s response to COVID-19 in recent months has faced scrutiny for its draconian restrictions on everyday life and aggressive law enforcement measures. But the country’s pandemic policies have been depicted by many American liberals and corporate media outlets as a “model” to emulate. The government of New South Wales (NSW), Australia’s most populous state,
imposed strict lockdowns in August in response to rising cases of the delta variant. The state issued a stay-at-home order, permitting people to leave their houses only for essential shopping, medical care, and work. Daily Caller

Heroic FBI Agent Tackles Parent Expressing Concern For Student's Education . . . At a Loudoun County school board meeting last night, a heroic FBI agent violently tackled a parent who was expressing concern over his child's education during open comments. This came after Attorney General Merrick Garland directed the FBI to crack down on parents who violently and menacingly dare to question the holy authority of the
state when it comes to educating kids.
Since the FBI is highly experienced in covering up for sick perverts who use their power to corrupt impressionable children, Garland thought this was right up their alley.
According to sources, undercover agents will infiltrate these cells of concerned parents by pretending they are parents who care about kids too. "So, um, yeah... I don't think you should be assigning pornographic and racist reading materials to young kids," began local parent Fred Brown at the meeting. "Maybe you should stick to math and reading and --OOF!" In a flash, undercover Agent Sam Rutters dove on stage and took the concerned dad to the ground with one blow. Babylon Bee
