Take it to the bank: Biden’s pick for currency comptroller shows his love affair with socialism . . . By Cheryl Chumley. Analysis/Opinion. The new comptroller of the currency selected by President Joe Biden is fresh off the Marxist bus, having graduated from Moscow State University in 1989 and since, spoken in glowing terms about communism. Saule Omarova was named by the White House in September as the ideal for comptroller of the
currency in part, because she would be the “first woman and person of color” to serve in that role. She also brings a lot of communist baggage to the spot. As The Wall Street Journal reported, Omarova wants to outright eliminate banks. “She graduated from Moscow State University in 1989 on the Lenin Personal Academic Scholarship,” the news outlet wrote. “Thirty years later, she still believes the Soviet economic system was superior, and that U.S. banking should be remade in the
Gosbank’s image.” Omarova is outright hostile to the idea of supply and demand determining the likes of salaries and product prices, preferring instead to see the federal government — the state — set such values. Washington Times
This lady, Saule Omarova, is a "card-carrying" Marxist-Leninist. If Soviet economic system was superior, what is she doing, living here, in the United States? Helping transform America into a totalitarian socialist USSR 2.0? Wake up, folks. The country is being subverted, right in front of our eyes. Can't say you were not warned.
Here's another warning from a fellow socialism/communism survivor, Lily Tang, a Chinese immigrant. Lily has a WARNING For Americans | Huckabee

Steve Bannon predicts sweeping wins for ‘MAGA policies’ in 2022 and 2024 . . . Former White House adviser Steve Bannon predicted a “sweeping victory” for MAGA policies in the 2022 midterms that will lead to former President Donald Trump winning a second term in 2024. “We’re going to have a sweeping victory in 2022, and that’s just the preamble to a sweeping victory in 2024, and this time we’re going to be ready — and have a MAGA
perspective, MAGA policies, not the standard Republican policies,” he told political appointees at a Washington, DC, social club last week, according to NBC News. When that happens, Bannon said he wants to see an army of “shock troops” enter federal agencies and help Republicans completely retool the government by instituting their policies. “If you’re going to take over the administrative state and deconstruct it, then you have to have shock troops prepared to take it over
immediately,” Bannon later said to NBC News in an interview released on Saturday. New York Post
Pelosi looks to guide congressional Dems through midterms, 2024 election . . . House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has signaled to party leaders that she plans on sticking around through the 2024 elections and is hoping the lingering shadow of former President Donald Trump will help Democrats defend their slim House majority in the midterm elections next year. Those hopes will take a severe blow if Mrs. Pelosi can’t resolve the messy negotiations
over President Biden’s $1 trillion infrastructure plan and $3.5 trillion reconciliation package. The bills have fractured the moderate and liberal wings of her caucus. The spotlight is on the ability of Mrs. Pelosi, 81, to salvage her party’s agenda and on her future as the leader of a Democratic caucus riven by generational and ideological differences. Biden Administration to Offer ‘Targeted Tariff Exclusion’ on Chinese Goods . . . The Biden administration will announce on Monday its “new strategy” on trade relations with China, which will include extending tariff exclusion on certain Chinese goods, according to senior administration officials. U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai, in a speech at a Washington think tank on Monday, is planning to reveal the China trade policy of the
Biden administration. Her announcement will focus on the bilateral trade agreement and the tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars of Chinese imports imposed by the previous administration. “First, our objective is not to escalate trade tensions with China or double down on the previous administration’s flawed strategy,” a senior administration official told reporters on Sunday during a conference call ahead of the announcement. NATO’s Big Concern from Russia’s Zapad Exercise: Putin’s Forces Lingering in Belarus . . . Between Sept. 10-16, Russia conducted Zapad-2021, the latest instalment of its quadrennial joint military exercises with the Republic of Belarus — part of which is conducted in the latter nation’s territory. Now, a week later, there are signs that the over 200,000 troops who participated may be not all be heading back
home. On the world stage, Zapad is perhaps best known for its tradition of closing a massive display of exploding ordnance — conducted at a distance where Russian President Vladimir Putin can view the series of explosions through a pair of high-definition (and high-priced) binoculars. The intention of the this firepower demonstration — what the Russian military calls the “hot phase” of the exercise — is to transmit the message that Russia is ready for a major military
offensive against the West. Breaking Defense
Biden, Congress seek to chip away at gun rights with UN arms treaty, military red flag law . . . Congressional Democrats and the Biden administration are attempting to nibble away at the Second Amendment from both within and without the U.S., gun rights advocates warn, as Congress seeks to pass a red flag law for military members and the president eyes signing on to a United Nations arms treaty. Red flag laws that would apply to
military members were slipped into the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed by the House of Representatives last week with the help of 135 Republicans. Red flag laws are "essentially bypassing due process," Gun Owners of America's Director of Outreach Antonia Okafor told the John Solomon Reports podcast on Wednesday. "It is going from one person who says they accuse you of being a danger to yourself, or to somebody else, and then going to a judge that then gets
reasonable suspicion, right, that you are a danger to yourself or somebody else. Just the News

Large Iranian military drill on Azerbaijan border targets Baku’s ties with Israel . . . Iran-Israel tensions moved to a new arena on Friday, Oct. 1 when Iran launched a large scale military drill for a show of force against neighboring Azerbaijan and its military ties with Israel. On Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian warned that Iran “does not tolerate the presence and activities of the
Zionist regime against its national security and will do whatever necessary in this regard.” Further clarity of intent came from the exercise’s title, “Conquerors of Kheybar” – a reference to the 7th century Muslim battle led by the Prophet Muhammed against the Jews of Arabia. Azerbaijan President Ilham Alyev said he was deeply concerned by the Iranian forces massing on his country’s border, pointing out that this would be Iran’s first show of force of this kind in the three decades since
the fall of the Soviet Union. DEBKAfile

A private plane crashed Sunday into an empty building near Milan, Italy, resulting in the deaths of all six passengers and two crew members. The accident happened in the outskirts of the city shortly after the small plane took off from Milan’s Linate city airport for the Italian island of Sardinia, according to the BBC.
The single-engine aircraft reportedly hit a two-story office building’s façade. The building was under renovation and was vacant at the time of the crash, according to The Associated Press. Daily Caller

To Prevent the Next Pandemic, Scientists Seek One Vaccine for Many Coronaviruses . . . Kayvon Modjarrad is out to win the war against this pandemic—and the next one. An emerging-infectious-diseases researcher with the U.S. Army, Dr. Modjarrad is pursuing a vaccine to protect against a range of coronaviruses that cause disease in humans—including Covid-19 variants that might elude today’s vaccines. The goal is to prevent the next new
one from spreading around the globe. Such a shot might even stop coronaviruses that cause some common colds. His research team is one of roughly 20 groups around the world working on so-called universal, or pan-coronavirus, vaccines: shots that would block many related viruses at once, including ones that have yet to infect anyone. After years of battling Ebola, Zika, H1N1 pandemic flu and other new pathogens, Dr. Modjarrad and other emerging-disease experts say they want to have a vaccine
in hand to blunt the next new pathogen to come along, whatever it may be. Wall Street Journal

Leaked ‘Pandora’ records show how the powerful shield assets . . . A new report sheds light on how world leaders, powerful politicians, billionaires and others have used offshore accounts to shield assets collectively worth trillions of dollars over the past quarter-century. The report by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists involved 600 journalists from 150 media outlets in 117 countries. It’s being dubbed the
“Pandora Papers” because the findings shed light on the previously hidden dealings of the elite and the corrupt. Hundreds of politicians, celebrities, religious leaders and drug dealers have been hiding their investments in mansions, exclusive beachfront property, yachts and other assets, according to a review of nearly 12 million files obtained from 14 firms located around the world. Dems Tuck Multibillion-Dollar Handout to Illegal Immigrants Into Reconciliation . . . President Joe Biden’s budget includes a provision that provides billions of dollars in cash to illegal aliens with children. The $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill extends the Child Tax Credit to anyone in the United States who provides an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, overturning a crucial safeguard against fraud. Federal law required a
valid Social Security number to receive the cash transfer from the federal government. The potential payout for illegal immigrants is massive, with each family receiving a monthly payment of $250 to $300 per child. A survey from the Pew Research Center found that roughly 675,000 children are not eligible for a Social Security number, making the tax credit expansion for illegal aliens cost between $2.025 billion to $2.43 billion a year. Other estimates put the total number of illegal
children residing in the United States at more than 800,000. Washington Free Beacon
Moneymaking move: Facebook whistleblower alleges social network fed U.S. Capitol riot . . . Facebook prematurely turned off safeguards designed to thwart misinformation and rabble-rousing after Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump in last year’s elections in a moneymaking move that a company whistleblower alleges contributed to the deadly Jan. 6 invasion of the U.S. Capitol. The whistleblower, former Facebook product manager Frances Haugen,
also asserted during an exclusive interview that aired Sunday on CBS’ “60 Minutes” that a 2018 change to the content flow in Facebook’s news feeds contributed to more divisiveness and ill will in a network ostensibly created to bring people closer together. Despite the enmity that the new algorithms were feeding, Facebook found that they helped keep people coming back — a pattern that helped the Menlo Park, California, company sell more of the digital ads that generate most of its
advertising. Washington Times

BLM Killed 2,000 Black People . . . The FBI recently released crime statistics for 2020, and the overall murder rate increased a record 29%. It was the year of Black Lives Matter riots and violence. The worst one-year percentage jump in murders was a 12.7% increase in 1968 during a crime wave that led Democrats and Republicans to embrace tough on crime policies. I n 2020, Democrats and some libertarian
Republicans colluded to dismantle the criminal justice system, open up the jails, and endorse Black Lives Matter.
The FBI’s numbers are in and they show that Black Lives Matter and its corporate backers killed more black people in one year than anything short of an African civil war. 3,595 black people were murdered in 2019. But in 2020, 5,839 black people were murdered. That’s an additional 2,244 black people killed.
56% of the murder victims of 2020 were black. Patriot Post
Skateboarder who defaced George Floyd statue in Union Square caught on video . . . Video released by cops early Monday captures the moment a vandal on a skateboard tossed paint on a George Floyd statue in Union Square. The clip caught the unidentified suspect ducking behind a nearby statue of the late Rep. John Lewis around 10:15 a.m. Sunday and messing with something in his backpack before he skateboarded toward the Floyd installation.
He is shown hurling gray paint on the face and base of the Floyd bust and then riding off, heading north on the west side of the park. New York Post
Trump demands revocation of 2018 Pulitzer Prize, cites Russian collusion misreporting . . . Former President Donald Trump called on the Pulitzer Prize Board to rescind the 2018 National Reporting awards granted to the New York Times and the Washington Post for their coverage of the Russian collusion story, claiming the stories were based on "false reporting" and a "complete lack of evidence." “As has been widely publicized, the coverage
was no more than a politically motivated farce which attempted to spin a false narrative that my campaign supposedly colluded with Russia despite a complete lack of evidence underpinning this allegation,” Trump wrote in a letter addressed to Bud Kliment, the interim administrator of the awards. Alligator steals 7-year-old angler's fish and pole . . . A Florida 7-year-old who hooked a bass while fishing with his dad ended up losing his catch -- and his pole -- when an alligator darted out of the water and grabbed the fish. Sean McMahon posted a video to Facebook showing what happened when he and his son, Dawson, were fishing behind their Palm Coast home. The video shows McMahon encouraging his son as he battles with a large
bass on the end of his line. The boy finally manages to drag the fish onto land, but an alligator suddenly darts out of the water and grabs the fish in its jaws. Dawson drops his pole and flees from the gator, which swims back out into the water -- taking the fish and pole with it. UPI
