Good morning
Welcome to today's top news.

Trump Rising . . . The polls, which I trust as far as I can throw Michael Moore, are showing something interesting beyond the fact that crusty President Badfinger has fallen and can’t get up. According to Rasmussen, in a head-to-empty-head contest between President Trump and that desiccated old weirdo, Trump has a 10-point edge. He’s 12-points over Kamala, who will probably run in 2024 since * is likely to be sent off to a farm upstate with
Major the Dog. So, does this mean Trump will run in 2024? Well, it sure as heck makes it more likely.
The stars are aligning for a potential comeback story for the ages. We have a barely conscious pseudo-president botching everything he touches, an inept, razor-thin Dem Congress engaged in public autophagy over how many trillions we don’t have we will squander, and a population getting sicker and sicker of being lied to, manipulated, bossed around, ripped off, and lorded over. The sight of the same jerks who insist that you have to gag your screaming toddler while partying down
mask-free is galling. The vaxx mandates that the Kreepy Karen Korps is so proud of imposing are turning out to be aimed right at minority Americans who, understandably, are reluctant to trust government scientists bearing jabs. ID to vote – racist; ID and a passport to work or eat – great! And then there’s Afghanistan, the border, inflation, and CRT – it’s a veritable smorgasbord of disasters. Opinion. Townhall
Abolish the FBI . . . In ignoring the latest John Durham indictment, most of the media and official Washington are ignoring the elephant between its lines: the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Mr. Durham, the special counsel appointed to investigate the government’s handling of the Russia collusion mess, levels a single criminal charge against Michael Sussmann, then a lawyer for the Democrat-linked firm Perkins Coie. In delivering to the
FBI fanciful evidence of Trump-Russia collusion a few weeks before the 2016 election, Mr. Sussmann is alleged to have lied to the FBI’s chief lawyer, James Baker, claiming he was acting on his own behalf and not as a paid agent of the Clinton campaign.
Mr. Durham provides ample reason in his own indictment for why the FBI would have known exactly whom Mr. Sussmann was working for. If Mr. Sussmann didn’t lie at the time, Mr. Baker may have lied since about what transpired between him and Mr. Sussmann. Either way, we are free to suspect the FBI would have found it useful to be protected from inconvenient knowledge about the Clinton campaign’s role. The same FBI then was busy ignoring the political antecedents of the Steele dossier,
also financed by Mr. Sussmann’s law firm on behalf of the Clinton campaign, information that the FBI would shortly withhold from a surveillance court in pursuit of a warrant to spy on Trump pilot fish Carter Page. Opinion. Wall Street Journal
During the 2016 election, the American voters were hit by a double whammy. First, it was Putin's Playbook, a covert influence operation designed to sabotage the election, throw US institutions into political disfunction, and foment social unrest by amplifying existing political polarization within the society. Next, the corrupt upper echelons of the intelligence commutity (Clapper, Comey, Brennan, and their Deep
State minions) deployed a Soviet-style Playbook by spreading Russia-enabled disinformation about the non-existent "Trump-Russia collusion."
Our country is still struggling to recover from the turmoil created by the real collusion - that is between Russia, Clinton, the Democrats, and the Leftist media. They all were working, wittingly or in some cases, perhaps unwittingly, towards the same goal - to discredit President Trump and to destabilize the American society.

Thank you, everyone who participated in the Independent Thinkers' Book Club on Friday! Isn't Charles Love an amazing author and deep thinker? My favorite quote from his speech was: "The leftist are pushing proof of vaccination cards for everyone but are
adamantly opposed to voter IDs, arguing that certain groups cannot get a government ID. What's a vaxx card? It's an ID!" What is your favorite take away from Friday's book club gig?
Next meeting of the book club is on Friday, October 22nd. Please read Preface and Chapters 1, 2 of We Want Equality: How the fight for equality gave way to preference. I will be posting the recording of the kick off meeting
on White House Dossier tomorrow. It is still not too late to sign up for the Independent Thinkers Book Club. Please send me an e-mail. Rebekah
‘Multimillionaire’ Biden’s use of ‘S corporations’ draws scrutiny by Republican who sees hypocrisy . . . President Biden and first lady Jill Biden saved up to $500,000 by routing $13 million they received in book sales and speeches in 2017 and 2018 through S corporations, according to a Congressional Research Service report, which drew criticism by at least one Republican.
It is not uncommon for wealthy individuals and politicians to try and preserve their income by using what some call tax loopholes, but Republicans have called out what they see as hypocrisy from the president who came out in support of proposals to tax billionaires. On Friday, the president told reporters, "I just think it’s about just paying your fair share, for Lord’s sake." Fox Business

The Vindication Over Hunter's Emails . . . The New York Post is claiming vindication over its scoop in October 2020 about Hunter Biden’s emails, and deservedly so. But that shouldn’t be the end of the story for everyone who attacked the Post or ignored the story to cover for Joe Biden. A writer for Politico has published a book about President Biden that confirms that some of the emails on a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden are authentic.
This is barely a scoop, since neither Hunter Biden nor Joe Biden’s campaign denied last year that the laptop provided to the Post by Rudy Giuliani was Hunter’s. Both men counted instead on the rest of the media to serve as a cordon sanitaire, and did they ever. Twitter barred the Post’s feed for a time lest Americans be able to read about the emails and their content. Wall Street Journal
In Just 9 Minutes, Kamala Harris Scolded The Unvaxxed, Vilified The Border Patrol And Dodged Questions On Afghanistan . . . In just nine minutes, Vice President Kamala Harris managed to scold unvaccinated Americans, vilify the Border Patrol and dodge a question on Afghanistan. Harris made a brief appearance Friday on ABC’s “The View,” her interview moved to a remote location and cut down to just one segment after co-hosts Sunny Hostin and
Ana Navarro tested positive for COVID-19. Remaining co-hosts Joy Behar and Sara Haines attempted to squeeze as much content as possible into the shortened exchange Daily Caller
Cheney allies flock to her defense against Trump challenge . . . Allies of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) are starting to make a concerted effort to boost her reelection bid as she wages the fight of her political life against a Trump-backed challenger. Former President George W. Bush will hold a fundraiser for Cheney next month, as reported Wednesday, handing her a boost with the traditional wing of the GOP. But backers say they expect more
Republicans aligned with Cheney’s brand of conservatism to get off the bench to help her in a primary knife fight against attorney and erstwhile ally Harriet Hageman. The Hill
This week: Democrats hit make-or-break moment for Biden . . . Democrats are facing a crucial week that could have big reverberations for President Biden’s presidency, as they balance must-hit deadlines and the fate of the heart of their legislative agenda. Democrats are juggling three bills that would be massive fights on their own: An end-of-the-month government funding fight, a $3.5 trillion spending package that still needs to be
finalized and the Senate-passed roughly $1 trillion infrastructure bill. “The next few days will be a time of intensity,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) wrote in a letter to her caucus, summing up the week on Capitol Hill for Democrats.
Congress is returning on Monday days away from a government shutdown amid a fight with Republicans who are refusing to help suspend the debt ceiling, which Democrats have tied, for now, to government funding. Lawmakers have until the end of Thursday to pass funding legislation and avert a shutdown. The

DHS admits approving DACA applications in violation of court order . . . Homeland Security’s legal immigration agency has admitted to a judge that it approved new DACA applications despite the court’s order halting that work. Tracy Renaud, who was acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at the time, said last week that it had just discovered two applications were approved as renewals, but in fact, they should have
been treated as new applications and should have been blocked under Judge Andrew Hanen’s July ruling. Those are in addition to nine other new applications found in late July that had been fully processed. Washington Times
Is Voter ID Racist? Only If You’re A Democrat . . . Daily Caller “Presents The Facts” addresses some of the most misleading claims promulgated by high-profile officials and so-called social justice warriors to give Daily Caller readers the ammunition to tackle everyday political conversations and debates. Hosted by Brianna Lyman, these videos also seek to explore the truth that is often shrouded by corporate media. Daily Caller

Jake Sullivan repeatedly promoted Alfa Bank story at the center of Durham indictment . . . Special Counsel John Durham's indictment of Democratic lawyer Michael Sussmann will likely have made uncomfortable reading for a key member of President Joe Biden's administration — his beleaguered national security adviser Jake Sullivan. The grand jury indictment against Sussmann centers on a September 2016 meeting between him and then-FBI General
Counsel James Baker in which Sussmann passed along allegations claiming there was a secret backchannel between Russia’s Alfa Bank and the Trump Organization. While Durham says Sussmann told Baker he was not working for any specific client, the special counsel contends he was secretly doing the bidding of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign as well as working on behalf of a yet-unnamed technology company executive. Sussmann pleaded not guilty . Washington Examiner
The corrupt intelligence and law enforcement apparatchiks (Clapper, Comey, and Brennan) and the Deep State orchestrated a coup, to sabotage candidate Trump's campaign and then to unseat a democratically elected US President. If this were done in any other country, the would be screaming "election fraud!"
Key Trump defense official refutes Blinken, says Trump left Afghan withdrawal plan for Biden . . . Kash Patel, former chief of staff to Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, blasted Secretary of State Antony Blinken for claiming that the Trump administration did not leave President Biden a plan for the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. On the John Solomon Reports podcast on Thursday, Patel was asked if Blinken accurately told Congress
that Trump left Biden a deadline for leaving Afghanistan without a plan. "No, absolutely not," Patel replied. Criticizing Blinken for playing "politics with the national security apparatus of the United States," Patel, who worked on the transition coordination team, said that the Trump administration did not leave Biden a deadline Just the News

Merkel’s Party Suffers Sweeping Losses as Germans Spread Vote . . . As Germany’s election results came into sharper focus on Monday, no party won decisive majority but the loser was clear: Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats. After 16 years in power under Ms. Merkel’s leadership, they saw their share of the vote collapse by nearly nine points, garnering only 24.1 percent of the vote. It was the party’s worst
showing in its history, and the election signaled the end of an era for Germany and for Europe. The Social Democratic Party defeated Ms. Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union by 1.6 percentage points, according to preliminary official results reported early Monday. New York Times
China Wields New Legal Weapon to Fight Claims of Intellectual Property Theft . . . Chinese technology giants have seized on a new legal tactic to fight claims of intellectual property theft, raising concerns in the U.S. that Beijing’s promises to strictly enforce patent and copyright laws will be undermined by Chinese courts. In four major cases since 2020, Chinese courts granted so-called anti-suit injunctions blocking foreign companies
from taking legal action anywhere in the world to protect their trade secrets. Three of the rulings were in favor of Chinese telecom companies—Huawei Technologies Co., Xiaomi Inc. and BBK Electronics. The fourth supported South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Corp. in a dispute with Swedish telecom giant Ericsson AB. Wall Street Journal

Life expectancy of American men fell by two years amid pandemic: study . . . The life expectancy of American men decreased by two years during the pandemic, according to a new study published Monday by Oxford University.
The study found that life expectancy among men fell by 2.2 years relative to 2019, the largest drop among the groups that were observed. Life expectancy decreased by more than six months compared to 2019 for 22 of the 29 countries examined as part of the study, according to Reuters, which includes the U.S., Chile and nations in Europe. The drop in life expectancy in 2020 was the largest observed since World War II, and fell overall in 27 of the 29 countries analyzed,
according to Reuters. The Hill
WHO seeks to revive stalled inquiry into origins of Covid-19 with new team . . . The World Health Organization is reviving its stalled investigation into the origins of the Covid-19 virus as agency officials warn that time is running out to determine how the pandemic that has killed more than 4.7 million people worldwide began. A new team of about 20 scientists—including specialists in laboratory safety and biosecurity and geneticists and
animal-disease experts versed in how viruses spillover from nature—is being assembled with a mandate to hunt for new evidence in China and elsewhere. China has resisted the probe, arguing that any new inquiry should focus on other countries, including the U.S. Fox Business
House Intel GOP demand Biden instruct top spy office to reveal scientists who helped with COVID-19 origins report . . . House Intelligence Committee Republicans accused the Biden administration's top intelligence office of "stonewalling" congressional overseers from learning about outside doctors and scientists whom U.S. spy agencies relied upon to put together a report assessing the origins of COVID-19. Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking
member on the panel, was joined by nine fellow GOP members who said they had no confidence in the origins assessment because the Office of the Director of National Intelligence personnel who briefed them had declined to identify which scientists were consulted during the investigation, which did not provide a definitive conclusion on whether the virus was transmitted to humans naturally or through a lab leak in China. COVID-19 vaccine boosters could mean billions for drugmakers . . . Billions more in profits are at stake for some vaccine makers as the U.S. moves toward dispensing COVID-19 booster shots to shore up Americans' protection against the virus. How much the manufacturers stand to gain depends on how big the rollout proves to be. Exactly who should get a booster was a contentious decision as advisers to the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention spent two days this week poring over the evidence. CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky endorsed most of their choices: People 65 and older, nursing home residents and those ages 50 to 64 who have chronic health problems such as diabetes should be offered one once they’re six months past their last Pfizer dose. Those 18 and older with health problems can decide for themselves if they want a booster. Fox Business
Soviet Playbook: We are almost in the situation here in America now, where -- just like in the USSR -- people did not trust any official institution: the government, media, doctors, courts - no one. Only your family and very close friends could be relied upon. The whole society was saturated with lies, corruption, and double standards. Such deterioration of the society changes the national psyche and
eventually destroys the nation.

U.S. Homicide Rate Soared in 2020 . . . The annual murder rate in the U.S. jumped by the highest percentage since the FBI first began tracking numbers in 1960. Up 29%, nearly 5,000 more murders were committed in 2020 than in 2019, according to the FBI’s recently released Uniform Crime Report. The previous largest one-year increase was in 1968, which saw a 12.7% rise in homicides. What made 2020 so deadly? There are
likely a myriad of factors to explain this sudden spike, but leading the pack is the growing anti-police protests and sentiments that rocked the nation following the death of George Floyd. This caused a reduction in policing. Secondarily, politicians responded to the coronavirus pandemic by shutting down much of the country for months. Putting millions of people out of work and locking them down may have saved lives from illness, but it caused or contributed to a lot of other deaths, including
drug overdoses and homicides. Patriot Post
Google's methods for spying on employees revealed in report . . . Google keeps a close eye on its employees through a number of tracking mechanisms when they engage in certain online activities, according to a new report. The tech giant zeroes in on employees who might be considering leaving out of fear they might access or leak sensitive material, according to reporting by The Information. Company security flags those workers by checking
who has researched the cost of COBRA health insurance, drafted resignation letters, or searched for an internal checklist for those wanting to leave the company. Most unusually, Google's security staff has raised alarms when employees take screenshots on their work devices when running an encrypted messaging platform at the same time or use non-Google online storage services. House Passes Bill To Allow Abortion on Demand Nationwide . . . The House of Representatives voted nearly along party lines Friday to pass a bill that will allow abortion on demand nationwide, superseding state-level abortion restrictions.
The Women’s Health Protection Act codifies Roe v. Wade into law, making it illegal for states to restrict abortion access. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) brought the bill to the floor after Texas enacted a law banning abortion after six weeks. The House bill allows abortion up to birth if a doctor determines that a "continuation of the pregnancy would pose a risk to the pregnant patient’s life or health." "Abortion services are essential to health care and access to those services
is central to people’s ability to participate equally in the economic and social life of the United States," the bill states. Washington Free Beacon
A Rot Pervades America’s Institutions . . . At the end of his magisterial book “How Rome Fell: Death of a Superpower,” Adrian Goldsworthy compares the fate of imperial Rome with contemporary America. The dominance of a civilization, he notes, depends not only on resources and military prowess but also on “culture,” that hard-to-define yet palpable mixture of confidence, savoir-faire, and commitment to foundational principles beyond the
calculus of individual profit or aggrandizement. Beginning in the third century, Goldsworthy writes, Rome began to turn away from that cultural compact and decline wove itself into the sinews of Roman society. “The rot,” Goldsworth observes, “began at the top, and in time a similar attitude pervaded the entire government and army high command.” Epoch Times

Lockdown Deemed A Success As Everyone Is Now So Obese They Can't Fit Out Their Doors . . . The lockdowns in the U.S. have been deemed a success at stopping the spread of COVID by public health experts, as Americans are now so obese they can't even fit out their doors to spread COVID. Medical experts are claiming that a full 94% of Americans are now wider than their front doorway and thus are unable to go outside and get
to dangerous gatherings like indoor concerts, sporting events, and church services.
Therefore, the experts are claiming the lockdowns were very effective at stopping the spread of COVID. It's good for society: everyone in their homes, no one interacting, everyone just getting all fat and depressed and stuff. Basically, everybody is huge now, and that's a good thing." Babylon
