Good morning

Sorry, AOC, the Rich Already Pay Their Fair Share . . . There seems to be a growing segment of people under the impression that the wealthy pay little or nothing in taxes. Majority of Americans support the idea of a wealth tax. One recent poll found that 80% of voters were annoyed that corporations and the wealthy don’t pay their “fair share.” Polls rarely ask these people what a “fair share” looks like. Is a quarter of someone’s
earnings enough? A third?
The rich have been shouldering an increasingly larger share of the cost of government. The United States already has one of the most progressive tax systems in the free world. Those who make over $207,350 now pay 35% in income tax. Those who make $518,400 or more pay a 37% income-tax rate. At some point, taxation should be considered theft.
In this age of populism, increasing numbers of Americans are accepting Marxist conceptions of American life, in which the successful are parasites and everyone else is a victim of their greed. It’s become easier to pass massive expansions of the state. Everyone expects someone else to foot the bill — either future generations or their wealthier neighbors. Meanwhile, taxation has gone from being a means of funding communal needs and projects to a means of technocratic wealth

New Durham indictment exposes second leg of Hillary Clinton's Russia collusion dirty trick . . . Nearly two years after evidence emerged that the infamous Steele dossier was a political dirty trick filled with Russian disinformation and disproved allegations, Special Counsel John Durham unloaded a new indictment that exposes a parallel effort by Hillary Clinton's campaign to flood the FBI with more dubious Trump-Russia collusion
dirt. Durham laid out in the indictment Thursday how Democrat superlawyer Michael Sussmann used Clinton campaign funds to construct a now-debunked memo and other evidence alleging that computer communications between a server at the Alfa Bank in Russia and the Trump Tower in New York might be a secret backdoor communication system for Trump and Vladimir Putin to hijack the 2016 election.
Sussmann delivered the package in mid-September 2016 — just weeks before Election Day as Trump and Clinton were locked in a tight race — to then-FBI General Counsel James Baker, even after the team of computer experts warned the theory was a "red-herring," according to the indictment. Just the

Ric Grenell: FBI wasn't 'duped' by Hillary-linked lawyer indicted in Durham probe . . . Former Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell said Special Counsel Durham's indictment of Sussmann is an important development in the probe into the origins of the FBI's investigation into connections between the Trump campaign and Russia, but is not necessarily key to the entire genesis of the Russia investigation. Grenell, who also served
as President Trump's ambassador to Germany, called the entire probe "such a ‘swamp’ situation" and added that Sussmann was simply one of the subjects of 63 transcripts released while he was DNI, after Durham requested them.
"I don’t believe that the FBI officials were duped by an outside lawyer working with Hillary Clinton who lied about his client," Grenell, speaking on "Fox News Primetime," said of Sussmann. "There is a treasure trove of information of people lying under oath in these," Grenell said. Fox News
In the run up to the 2016 election, the American voters have been hit twice: first, with Putin's Playbook, i.e. the covert influence operation, that sought to amplify political polarization and foment social unrest, through social media and agents of influence on the ground. The second time, by the Soviet-style Playbook, which was deployed by U.S. intelligence and Permanent State members, who propagated the lies about the Trump-Russia "collusion."
These American traitors did Putin's bidding. For additional info, check out my new book, Putin's Playbook: Russia's Secret Plan to Defeat America.
The Durham investigation must now answer the following question: was there an actual collusion between the Democratic Party and the Russian State? Until Americans know the answer, we can't proceed as a country and pretend that everything is "normal."
Biden paving way for Trump’s return, liberal strategists fear . . . The press has been brimming with negative news about President Biden — dwindling approval ratings, tepid poll numbers, rickety policy and unfortunate public gaffes. This trend could easily compromise Mr. Biden’s prime directive, some say. “Simply put, Biden’s mandate was to ensure that [Donald] Trump would never, ever, occupy the White House again — and ideally leave the
political stage for good,” wrote Arick Wierson, a former adviser to Michael R. Bloomberg, and Bradley Honan, a Democratic strategist who advised the campaigns of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Mr. Biden initially promised to “restore the soul of the nation” and unify the country, the pair said in an essay for CNN. “But somehow since that moment, the Biden administration seems to have forgotten its mandate. Through a series of self-inflicted wounds, miscalculations and gaffes, the Biden
administration is ‘priming the pump’ for a Trump presidency, part deux,” the two advisers said. Washington Times
Trump offers sympathy for those charged with Jan. 6 offenses . . . Former President Trump in a Thursday statement offered sympathy for those charged with participating in the Jan. 6 riot, while not mentioning a controversial rally at the Capitol scheduled for Saturday that is backed by supporters of people arrested in connection with the riot. Trump has not linked himself to the "Justice for J6" rally on Saturday, which has precipitated
new security measures on Capitol Hill. “Our hearts and minds are with the people being persecuted so unfairly relating to the January 6th protest concerning the Rigged Presidential Election,” Trump said. “In addition to everything else, it has proven conclusively that we are a two-tiered system of justice. In the end, however, JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL!”. The Hill
Hannity questions whether FAA grounded drones at southern border to 'cover up for Biden's failures' . . . In his opening Monologue Thursday, Sean Hannity said the Federal Aviation Administration issued an order essentially grounding a Fox News drone from airspace around Del Rio, Texas, in order to cover up for President Biden's ever-intensifying illegal immigration catastrophe on the southern border. One day after Fox News Channel aired
gripping footage of thousands of illegal immigrants and asylum seekers huddled under the Acuna International Bridge, the FAA issued a temporary flight restriction for the area. "In the last 24 hours, we start showing images at this bridge and a TFR goes up and we can no longer fly," Fox News' Bill Melugin reported. Fox News

Here’s Why The Bulk Of Afghan Refugees Are Heading To Purple States . . . The federal government is now preparing to relocate thousands of Afghan refugees in a number of swing states. President Joe Biden is planning to ask Congress for funding to bring around 95,000 people from Afghanistan to the U.S. in total. A senior administration official said the funding would be used to help bring 65,000 people by the
end of September, and an additional 30,000 people over the course of one year. The Department of Defense (DOD) has been preparing for up to 30,000 Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) applicants to be housed at U.S. Army bases such as Fort McCoy in Wisconsin and Fort Bliss in Texas. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is responsible for security and health screenings in order to vet the incoming refugees. The White House informed governors and mayors Wednesday that the first group of
refugees — numbered at around 37,000 — are expected to be resettled in the coming weeks. California will receive the largest number at around 5,300 refugees, and Texas will receive the next largest number at around 4,500. Daily Caller
Biden prepares to host historic ‘Quad’ summit at White House . . . President Biden is preparing to host the first-ever in-person summit of leaders from the so-called Quad countries — the U.S., India, Japan and Australia — in a sign of growing momentum behind what began as a Trump-era push to rally Asia’s most powerful democracies into a more formal grouping to confront and contain communist China. The Sept. 24 White House summit dovetails
with this week’s announcement of a U.S.-Australian-U.K. security pact that many see as a parallel effort to counter China. The administration’s embrace of the pact and promotion of the Quad underscores what analysts say is an accelerating U.S. shift in focus toward the Indo-Pacific region after decades of war and focus on terrorist groups in the Middle East and Afghanistan. Russian elections: persecution, cash handouts and the Putin system . . . Looming over a lake on Russia’s northwestern border with Europe, the 20m-high, 50-tonne statue Vladimir Putin unveiled on Sunday depicts sword-wielding knights under rippling banners as they prepare to repel invaders from the west. The message could scarcely have been more clear. Flanked by the Orthodox patriarch and a bishop said to be his spiritual adviser, Putin
described how medieval prince Alexander Nevsky had laid the foundations for a “strong and centralized Russian state” by repelling Teutonic knights in a battle on the ice. “Nothing can break the sacred continuity of times and generations,” Putin said. The Kremlin’s messaging ahead of Sunday’s elections for the Duma, the lower house of parliament, has been in much the same vein. The outcome may be a foregone conclusion: the Kremlin’s United Russia party is expected to retain its
constitutional majority in the 450-seat chamber, with the other seats going to a handful of pliant “systemic opposition” parties. Financial Times

Covid-19 Lockdowns in Asia Deepen Commodity Supply-Chain Pain . . . The recent surge in Covid-19 cases in Southeast Asia has throttled ports and locked down plantations and processors, sparking extended disruptions of raw materials such as palm oil, coffee and tin. Restrictions in Malaysia, the world’s second-largest producer of palm oil, have prevented migrant laborers from traveling to plantations, raising prices of the ubiquitous
edible oil used to make candy bars, shampoo and biofuel. Lockdowns in Vietnam, the world’s No. 2 coffee exporter by volume, have delayed the processing and export of coffee beans, adding to production concerns caused by poor weather in Brazil. The global tin supply has been hit by Covid-19-related interruptions at a smelter in Malaysia, contributing to higher prices for the industrial metal, which is used to connect computer chips to circuit boards in electronics.
Prices for each of these commodities have risen to multiyear highs in recent months, adding costs that are being passed on to consumers. Wall Street Journal

Biden goes after top 1 percent in defending tax hikes . . . President Biden on Thursday went after big corporations and wealthy Americans while promoting his economic agenda that congressional Democrats are working to get across the finish line. “Let me ask you this, where is it written in that all the tax breaks in the American tax code go to corporations and the very top? I think it’s enough, I’m tired of it,” he said in remarks at the
White House on the economy. The president reiterated his calls for big corporations and the wealthy to pay their fair share in taxes, saying it's “long overdue.” The Hill
IMF chief called out over pressure to favor China while at World Bank . . . World Bank leaders, including then-Chief Executive Kristalina Georgieva, applied "undue pressure" on staff to boost China's ranking in the bank's "Doing Business 2018" report, according to an independent investigation released Thursday. The report, prepared by law firm WilmerHale at the request of the bank's ethics committee, raises concerns about China's
influence at the World Bank, and the judgment of Georgieva - now managing director of the International Monetary Fund - and then-World Bank President Jim Yong Kim. Reuters

Amazon Blocks Ad for Book Critical of Black Lives Matter . . . Amazon blocked an ad for a book critical of the Black Lives Matter movement, the latest example of the retail giant censoring conservative voices. The online retailer prevented the Heritage Foundation from purchasing ads to promote Mike Gonzalez's BLM: The Making of a New Marxist Revolution. Amazon told Heritage that the ad "contains book/s or content that
is not allowed," specifically "content that revolves around controversial or highly debated social topics is not permitted." Amazon later reversed its decision and posted the ad, telling the Washington Free Beacon that its "policies were not enforced correctly in this case" and that the employees responsible would receive "additional training." FDA Fetal Organ Purchases Violated Federal Law, Experts Say . . . The FDA shopped from a menu of aborted fetus organs to insert into lab mice as part of taxpayer-funded experiments, according to government records—a practice that watchdogs said may violate federal law. From 2012 to 2018, Advanced Bioscience Resources, a nonprofit fetal tissue supplier, charged the FDA $340 per aborted fetus liver and $515 per intact skull. The FDA
originally redacted these price listings, but a judge later unsealed the documents containing them, which were made public Tuesday by Judicial Watch. Federal law Bans any institution from profiting off the sale of aborted fetuses. Meredith Di Liberto, the lead attorney in the lawsuit to obtain the government records, said the unredacted documents reveal a clear line of business between the FDA and a leading fetal tissue provider. Sirens Blaring At Democratic Headquarters As Black Woman Expresses Unapproved Opinion . . . A tranquil morning at the Democratic Party headquarters this morning was interrupted by a sudden piercing sound: the "Black People Expressing Unapproved Opinions" alarms installed throughout the building. Whenever a person of color expresses an opinion that has not been expressly approved by the Party, the alarms warn Democrats
that they need to get that black person back in line. It's gone off many times over the years, with black people such as Kanye West, Larry Elder, and Martin Luther King, Jr. having triggered the siren.
Democrats immediately scrambled to their battle stations to do damage control over the rogue thought. In an emergency meeting, Democratic leaders strategized, "This woman of color is saying something she believes that we have not approved -- we need to get her back safely within the boundaries we have set for black people to think within." "How are we going to stop her?" screamed one frantic aide. "This is destroying our entire narrative!"At publishing time, Democrats had
announced their plan to strip Nicki Minaj of her "brave woman of color" status and treat her as they would a white male. Babylon Bee
