'Top Secret' Soup: How the Government Tried to Censor My Book About Putin and Russia’s Threat to America . . . It may come as a surprise to many, but our government has the power to decide what some Americans can write and say. As a former Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) officer, I became the target of government censors because I dared to reveal Putin’s goal to destabilize America and his plan to deliver on these ambitions. My
warning ran counter to the bureaucrats’ plans to conceal from Americans how badly the government “experts” had bungled the Russian threat to our country. So DIA weaponized against me the pre-publication review process (PRB), mandatory for every intelligence officer to comply with in order to publish a book. The government slow-walked the process, delaying publication, and made numerous unjustified redactions despite my use solely of open-source —that is, available to anyone—and unclassified
information.
DIA and CIA redacted portions from 31 pages of my book, claiming they contained government secrets. Among the vital “secrets” deleted was my observation that CIA has a better cafeteria than DIA, having Vietnamese Pho soup on the menu. Most of the government’s redactions, in fact, were to hide my observations about the Intelligence Community’s deficiencies in understanding Putin’s capabilities and intentions and their lack of proper expertise required for the task. Censorship is a hallmark of totalitarian regimes. It is un-American. Yet, it is here now, in the land of freedom. Cancel culture, de-platforming, big name publishers' refusals to publish conservative authors, i.e. "blacklisting" - are all forms of censorship. This piece is politically non-partisan, as the issue of censorship is. It must concern greatly both conservatives and liberals. And yet, no main stream outlet has accepted this Op-Ed. I was stunned. Grateful
that Townhall ran it.
Fight socialism and censorship in America with all you can!
I had so much fun chatting with Seb on his radio show, America First. Dr. Sebastian Gorka is a friend of mine and Keith's and also, a fellow Regnery author. Seb served as Deputy Assistant for Strategy to the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. Check out this clip.
Should Biden be impeached for extending the eviction moratorium? . . . Joe Biden admitted that his extension of the moratorium on evictions to from July 31 to October 3 was probably unconstitutional. What he forgot to mention was that it’s his job to uphold the Constitution. “The bulk of the constitutional scholarship says that it’s not likely to pass constitutional muster,” he said. But he did it anyway, to buy some more time until it works
its way through the courts. “At a minimum, by the time it gets litigated, it will probably give some additional time while we’re getting that $45 billion out to people who are, in fact, behind in the rent and don’t have the money,” he said. According to the Wall Street Journal: Many Presidents have overstepped their authority, but this is premeditated lawlessness. The government has been slow to distribute pandemic relief funds to renters. Now to buy time and silence Democratic
critics, Mr. Biden has signed off on an order that he admits he can’t defend in good faith. White House Dossier
Get it? Let’s do something illegal, but by the time we get caught, we will have achieved some of our objectives. Imagine if Donald Trump so boldly committed a lawless act.
Majority of Americans in new poll say it would be bad for the country if Trump ran in 2024 . . . A majority of Americans in a new poll think it would be bad for the country if former President Trump runs for office in 2024. The survey, conducted by Quinnipiac University, found that 60 percent of respondents said it would be bad for the country if Trump were to launch a bid for president in 2024. Thirty-two percent of respondents,
however, said another Trump campaign would be good for the country. Trump last month said he has made up his mind on whether he will run for the White House again in 2024. That decision, however, remains unknown. Forty-nine percent of respondents polled said they think Trump will ultimately run for president in 2024, with 39 percent saying he will not. Twelve percent said they did not have an opinion. The Hill
Kerry family private jet has taken 16 flights this year alone, records show . . . President Biden’s climate czar defends taking private flight to Iceland in 2019 to accept an environmental award. The private jet belonging to climate czar John Kerry's family has taken more than a dozen flights this year, according to records obtained from Flight Aware. In total, the private jet tied to President Biden's point person in the effort to
lower greenhouse gas emissions took 16 flights since January — raising questions about how much his family contributed to the problem. Many of these flights occurred within Massachusetts, including Martha's Vineyard and Boston International Airport. At least two flights took place between Massachusetts and New Jersey. A spokesperson for Kerry told Fox News: "Secretary Kerry travels commercially or via military air in his role as Special Presidential Envoy for Climate." Fox News

Ron DeSantis takes on Biden: ‘I don’t want to hear a blip about COVID from you’ . . . Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis swung back Wednesday after President Biden criticized his opposition to mask mandates, saying the administration should focus on stopping novel coronavirus variants from entering the country via the southern border. “Joe Biden has taken to himself to try to single out Florida over COVID,” said Mr. DeSantis at a press conference
in Panama City. “This is the guy who ran for president saying he was going to, quote, shut down the virus. What has he done? He’s imported more virus from around the world by having a wide-open southern border.” Mr. DeSantis was just getting warmed up, saying that Mr. Biden was “not shutting down the virus, he’s helping to facilitate it in our country.” Washington Times
Cuomo facing impeachment votes from majority of NY Assembly if he doesn't resign: report . . . If New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo doesn’t resign following the state attorney general’s report this week that found the governor had sexually harassed 11 women, a majority of state Assembly members are reportedly prepared to start impeachment proceedings. At least 86 Assembly members – more than half the total of 150 – have either publicly said or
told The Associated Press they would be in favor of taking that step to remove Cuomo in the wake of the latest bombshell against him. Fox News

Biden Wants to Cut Funding for ‘Border Security Assets and Infrastructure’ by 96% . . . President Joe Biden has now revealed there is at least one area in which he is a fiscal conservative: When it comes to providing the infrastructure needed to secure the border, he wants to spend far less than the government currently spends. His administration has presented Congress with a Department of Homeland Security budget
proposal that calls for slashing spending on what it calls “Border Security Assets and Infrastructure” by 96%. In fiscal year 2021, Congress approved $1,513,000,000 in funding for border security assets and infrastructure. Biden is now asking that Congress approve just $54,315,000 for fiscal year 2022. That is a reduction of $1,458,685,000—or 96.4%. What exactly is Biden cutting? Biden’s DHS has presented Congress with a 562-page “overview” of its fiscal year 2022 budget proposal
for Customs and Border Protection. The explanation for its “Border Security Assets and Infrastructure” plan is presented on pages 326 through 350 of this document. Daily Signal
US Kicks Off Simultaneous Global Maritime Military Exercise Not Seen Since Cold War, China Reacts . . . The U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps commenced a large globe-spanning military exercise on Aug. 3—the largest of its kind since the Cold War. The next day, China announced a large-scale drill in the South China Sea in response. “LSE 2021 is the first naval and amphibious large-scale exercise conducted since the Ocean Venture NATO
exercises launched in 1981 during the Cold War,” U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/U.S. 6th Fleet said in a July 27 statement. Epoch Times

China flexes nuclear muscle to burnish its big power credentials . . . One of Joe Biden’s most urgent missions on taking office was to rescue nuclear arms control. Two weeks after his inauguration, the US president extended the New Start Treaty with Russia, a cornerstone of arms control that a fractious relationship had left at risk of expiring. But the Biden administration has now been forced to confront another
nuclear challenge: China. Since June, experts have discovered more than 200 missile silos under construction in the country’s remote western deserts. Nuclear arms experts who last week revealed an 800 sq km missile silo construction field in Xinjiang, said it was the “most significant expansion of the Chinese nuclear arsenal ever”. They believe that China is building 10 times as many silos for intercontinental ballistic missiles as it has in operation now. The expansion exceeds the number
of Russia’s silo-based ICBMs and equals at least half of the US’s total ICBM force. Financial Times
Note to Biden's "experts": Wake up! The Chinese will not sign on to a nuclear arms treaty. The Russians are using the New Start to hamstring US nuclear capability, while Putin is modernizing Russia's, in preparation for a kinetic conflict with the U.S., which Moscow believes is inevitable.

Rand Paul rips ‘King Fauci’ for ‘whipping up’ delta variant fear, mask ‘pseudoscience’ . . . Sen. Rand Paul says Americans must “send a message” to Dr. Anthony Fauci and the “Lockdown Mafia” in the wake of COVID-19 delta variant commentary: “We’re done listening to you!” The Kentucky Republican emailed supporters Wednesday with an impassioned plea to reject further advice from the director of the National Institute of
Allergy and Infectious Diseases. “Anthony Fauci has inflicted an enormous amount of pain and suffering on the American people already,” Mr. Paul wrote. “And when he promises even more, you know he really means it. You see, King Fauci knows that his power depends on keeping the public afraid. That’s why he’s now going around whipping up fear and vowing to bring about more suffering and restrictions.” Washington Times
Vaccine-mandating our way merrily toward communism . . . By Cheryl K. Chumley. ANALYSIS/OPINION. The coronavirus is killing America — but not in the way the CDC, Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Biden and all the other COVID-19 vaccine pushers put out. Not in the physical. In the spiritual. In the spirit. The spirit of America is being blotted and bludgeoned by an angry pro-vaccine crowd that wants to strip away
an entire chunk of freedom in one coronavirus-crying fell swoop: that of informed consent. Yes, the coronavirus has proved fatal for some. In America, it’s proven fatal for 611,791, according to the latest CDC figures. But in America, that’s out of a total 35.7 million cases. Reported cases. Cases reported to and by the CDC. And those fatalities also include deaths with coronavirus, not just deaths due entirely to coronavirus. It goes to the truth factor, dontcha see. It helps separate the
deceptions from the, dare say, science? And speaking of science: It seems by the CDC’s own numbers that if 1.74 percent of those who catch the coronavirus die from the coronavirus, then 98.26 percent don’t. Washington Times
My friend Cheryl Chumley is also a fighter, for truth and freedom. Please support Cheryl's work by reading her column in The Washington Times. She also has a podcast coming out, featuring an interview with me about Putin's Playbook.

Biden to announce he wants half of all new vehicles at zero emissions by 2030 . . . President Biden will sign an executive order on Thursday calling for half of all U.S. car sales to be zero-emission vehicles by 2030. Senior administration officials said in a briefing for reporters that the order is a part of Biden’s broader "Build Back Better" initiative and will bolster infrastructure, save consumers money, and
tackle the climate crisis. The order will further initiate the development of "long-term fuel efficiency and emission standards" that will cut pollution and allegedly save consumers costs at the pump. The officials said the standards will apply to not only "light-duty vehicles" like cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks, but also will also be established for "medium and heavy-duty vehicles." American automakers including Ford, GM, and Stellantis, along with the United Auto Workers union
heads are expected to stand with the president at the White House as he signs the executive order. Fox News

George Floyd: A Legacy of Spiking Crime . . . In the year since George Floyd’s death, a question arises: What is the actual legacy of the career criminal turned Black Lives Matter martyr? Well, for one thing, looking at data specifically related to law enforcement and crime shows a decided downturn in society writ large and, more tellingly, in Floyd’s home city of Minneapolis. The protests that erupted in Minneapolis
following Floyd’s death quickly devolved into rioting, looting, and massive amounts of property damage, costing the city and business owners hundreds of millions. However, worse than the property damage, the majority of which was contained ironically in black neighborhoods, has been the subsequent spike in violent crime and the number of homicides in particular. The killings have left the city sometimes branded with the moniker “Murderapolis.” Patriot Post
Gun Demand Remains High as Overall Checks Drop . . . The demand for guns remained high in July even though overall gun-related background checks dropped. Just 2.8 million background checks were done last month, down approximately 5 percent from June, 39 percent from March—the highest month ever—and 20 percent from July 2020. That’s according to data from the FBI-run National Instant Criminal Background Check System, established by a
1993 federal law. It’s the fifth consecutive month overall checks have dropped. Demand for guns and gun-related items shot up in 2020 as governors across the nation imposed harsh measures in an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19. Epoch Times
Most Americans would take a pay cut over going back to the office, survey finds . . . Americans like working from home so much that over half of those who participated in a new nationwide poll said they would be willing to take a pay cut to continue doing so. An online survey commissioned by insurance company Breeze found that 65 percent of American workers who said their jobs could be done entirely remotely were willing to take a 5
percent pay cut to continue working from home. Most workers said they wouldn’t shave off more than 5 percent of their salary for the work-from-home perk, but some went further. Almost a quarter of respondents would take a 15 percent pay cut, the survey found, and 15 percent said they’d take 25 percent off their salary to remain remote. Almost half, or 46 percent, said they would give up a quarter of their paid days off, and 15 percent said they’d sacrifice all of their time off to
be able to work from home forever. Fox News
Obama forced to scale back 60th-birthday Covid superspreader event . . . Barack Obama has finally been shamed into cutting back his birthday bash, which was to have hundreds of guests and hundred more people serving them.
Just Tuesday, the White House tried to defend the event, noting that Martha’s Vineyard, where the party was to be held, does not have a lot of cases. As if Obama was inviting the locals. George Clooney, Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey were among the 475 guests expected to attend alongside about 200 hired hands. White House Dossier

Donald Trump: I Survived Impeachment (Twice), Andrew Cuomo Can Too . . . Impeachment veteran Donald Trump schools New York's embattled governor in the art of political self-defense. Very unfair what is happening to Andrew Cuomo, Democrat governor of the Great State of New York. We've had our disagreements in the past, but I know a Witch Hunt when I see one (Russia, Russia, Russia!). I hear the Radical Left wants to impeach him, just like
Crazy Nancy and Cryin' Chuck tried to impeach Trump. I survived, twice, and so can Governor Cuomo.
If I were advising the Governor, I would tell him to look into the massive fraud in Queens County—Forensic audit? Where are the servers? Regarding impeachment, I would tell him to "relax." He is not so different from Trump. We're proud New Yorkers. We've been accused of "literally killing people." We're admired for our good looks and sexual prowess, a powerful gift that is also a curse. We've been targeted by false accusations, attacked by "lightweight" politicians in our own party. For
many years, I thought Crooked (Hillary) was the most corrupt politician in America. Washington Free Beacon
