America’s schools need to return to propagating a Judeo-Christian ethos . . . Ever wondered how we got into this mess? Ever wonder how we became the “Divided States” rather than the United States? Has it ever crossed your mind how a culture that so proudly boasted of “co-existence” just five minutes ago became so fractured, so angry, and so hypocritical? Just look around. Our governors are misogynists. Our Congress is corrupt. Our president is
inept. Our borders are a joke. And our streets literally burn while our magistrates fiddle with their masks. It’s no wonder that poll after poll indicates that Americans are pessimistic about their future. If you want to understand who’s responsible for this cultural chaos, you need to look no further than our nation’s schools.
Until the last handful of years, throughout the history of education in the United States, schools in our nation were propagating Judeo-Christian ethos. The guiding philosophy was to promote moral development and civic responsibility and to prepare upright, honest and trustworthy leadership. The primary purpose of education in America for the first couple hundred years of our country’s existence was to maintain the nation’s moral order. Schools were founded to galvanize
future leaders in a common faith: faith in Christ and faith in America. Seven of the eight “Ivy League” institutions were founded in like manner to train up future generations in a biblical ethic, to educate a moral citizenry, and, thus, lay the foundation for a free people and a free nation.
Why we are where we are today? Look no further than your local schools and how far they have strayed from their original home. Our nation’s schools have foolishly squandered their inheritance, that of a Biblical worldview. Maybe it’s time they followed the prodigal and returned to their Father with a spirit of repentance. Amen to that.
Hillsdale College Helps K-12 Students Learn American History, Civics . . . Schools across America—both public and private—are embracing the left’s radical ideas at an alarming rate. These ideas have found their way into curriculum, sometimes subtly and other times overtly. Many parents are taking action and speaking out, insisting that their kids learn the foundational values that made America the greatest country on earth. Now,
thanks to Hillsdale College, there’s a curriculum that parents can use to ensure their children are getting the education they deserve.
Matthew Spalding, Hillsdale’s vice president of Washington operations and dean of the Van Andel Graduate School of Government, joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to talk about the curriculum and why it’s needed now more than ever. “It’s important for us to realize that while we might think this is merely a debate about different opinions about history" . . . it is in fact, an ideological approach, which is using history merely as a foil to fight current battles.” Learn more about
the Hillsdale 1776 Curriculum on the school’s website and access other K-12 resources there as well. Daily Signal
Maybe a good resource to homeschool your children. I am definitely looking into homeschooling my daughter this year.
Donald Trump is still the leader of Republican Party, RNC chair says . . . Former President Donald Trump is still calling the shots for the GOP, as is evident by his more than $100 million war chest. “When you see the amount of people that show up to the rallies for President Trump, and his $102 million fundraising haul, I think that voters in America, Republicans in America, would absolutely say the [former] president’s the most popular
Republican and still leads the party,” said Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel on radio’s “The Cats Roundtable.” Her comments come after Trump-aligned political groups brought in more than $82 million in the first half of 2021, giving Trump a chance to hand out tens of millions of dollars to Republican contenders in the 2022 midterm elections. McDaniel claimed that the 2022 elections will be match-ups between the GOP vs. “communism” and the Democrats and warned “we
won’t recognize America” if Republicans aren’t successful in them. New York Post
Trump blasts 'Green New Deal' infrastructure bill, warns it will hurt GOP in next election . . . "This is not an infrastructure bill, this is the beginning of the Green New Deal," Trump said in a statement released by his Save America PAC. "The bill I proposed, which Mitch McConnell couldn't do anything with, was pure infrastructure. I want what is best for America, not what's best for the Communist Democrat Party." Trump elaborated on
his criticisms of the bill. "This will be a big victory for the Democrats and will be used against Republicans in the upcoming elections," he said. "Schumer is using the threat of 'we can do it the hard way or do it the easy way' and keeping people in town. McConnell never did that on a real infrastructure bill. Hopefully the House will be much stronger than the Senate." Just the News
Biden speeds ahead on installing judges . . . President Biden and Senate Democrats are off to a fast start in pushing through judicial nominees, outpacing former President Trump's early record in confirming judges to the federal bench. While many Democrats had been hoping that Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer would announce his retirement to allow the new White House to pick his replacement, Biden has already pushed ahead with making
an early mark on the federal courts. Nine of Biden's 33 nominees have already been confirmed, seven of whom were sworn in in the month of July alone, and another 14 are awaiting floor votes in the Senate. Those numbers put Biden ahead of any president in the past 40 years at this point in their first year. The

Partisan fight over vaccine mandates moves to House . . . Federal workers are being asked to either show proof of vaccination or face regular testing requirements — but don't expect the legislative branch to follow suit anytime soon. More than a dozen House Democrats, frustrated by the spread of the delta variant of COVID-19, are urging the Capitol physician to similarly require proof of vaccination or at least twice-weekly testing in the
halls of Congress. Such a mandate would likely face fierce backlash from Republicans, many of whom continue to wage a war on rules requiring masks to be worn in the House. And the battle over the rules is exacerbating an already-toxic workplace environment where Democrats and Republicans are consistently at one another’s throats. The Hill
McConnell: Biden Should Withdraw Chipman as Nominee to Head Firearms Bureau . . . President Joe Biden should withdraw David Chipman’s nomination to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Saturday. McConnell raised a series of developments regarding Chipman, including sources described as current and former ATF agents claiming Chipman made racially
discriminatory remarks while working for the agency in the past. McConnell also noted that Chipman failed to disclose to the Senate Judiciary Committee a 2012 appearance on a China-run television network. At the time, Chipman was a special agent at the ATF. “This wasn’t just any TV appearance. Mr. Chipman had granted an interview to a propaganda network overseen by the Chinese government,” McConnell said on the Senate floor in Washington. Epoch Times

Proud Boys or FBI Assets? . . . The FBI has relied on the Proud Boys as informants on the roughneck group’s arch urban enemy–––far-left Antifa. Joseph Randal Biggs was one, his lawyer says in a court filing. Mr. Biggs considers himself a political prisoner as he begins his fourth month in a Florida jail on U.S. Capitol rioting charges. The Biden Justice Department, keen on prosecuting as many Jan. 6 Trump supporters as
possible, depicts him as an insurrection ringleader. As one of hard-right Proud Boy’s most prominent leaders, Mr. Biggs is a big prize for Merrick Garland’s department. Mr. Biggs is a protest organizer, unabashed gun enthusiast, and counter-liberal on his online production, “American Patriot.”
“I’m going to inspire each and every one of you to get out of your parents’ basement, chop off your man-buns, throw away your skinny jeans, and toss your Starbucks coffee into a blazing fire,” he exhorts. “We’re going to show you the different ways that Americans choose to express their patriotism. Shooting, hunting, cooking, and surviving in some of modern society’s harshest conditions.” Proud Boys leaders keep an eye on Antifa’s schedule for anti-police mayhem and all-around civil
destruction. Antifa has held regular insurrections to destabilize police forces and assorted law enforcement centers. Proud Boys leaders then decide whether to travel, say, to Portland, Ore., Antifa’s home field, to confront the anarchists in what can erupt into fist-fighting and pepper spraying. Washington Times
This is similar to the case of President Trump's campaign advisor, Carter Page, a former CIA asset who risked his life to collect intelligence on Russia for the US government, to help protect America. In return, the feds through him under the bus. The NSA spied on him, to get to Trump's communications. FBI lied on its fraudulent FISA applications to obtain authorization for a 24/7 to surveillance of Page. Same here, some Proud Boys members -- who had risked
their lives, provide actionable intelligence on Antifa to the FBI -- are now jailed without bail, accused of being "insurrectionists." This is beyond messed up.

Russia’s Quest for Mideast Influence Hindered by Renewed Fighting in Syria . . . Russia is struggling to keep the peace in Syri as a fierce assault by Syrian forces on a rebel-held town erodes Moscow’s aim to cement itself as a major power broker in the Middle East. Russia has entrenched itself in Syria in recent years. Sensing an opportunity to expand its influence in the region, Moscow provided military support
to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as he used brute force to reclaim territory that his regime lost after the 2011 rebel uprising began. In 2018, Russia then helped negotiate a cease-fire deal between the regime and rebels in Daraa, the birthplace of the Syrian revolution and one of the last remaining opposition strongholds in the country. But renewed fighting in the area and a rising death toll now threaten to unravel the Russian-backed truce, which was supposed to provide an endgame
to the rebellion in Daraa and provide a template for ending conflicts in other rebel-held parts of Syria. Wall Street Journal
Barack Obama gave a gift to Putin by letting Russia "remove chemical weapons" from Syria - something that never happened and President Trump had to deal with that mess. Having tricked "Russia-reset crazy" Obama, Putin re-established Russia's footprint in the Middle East, erasing the gains of decades of U.S. policy and influence in the region. Who exactly was Putin's agent?
U.S. Steps Up Pressure on Businesses Over Forced Labor in China . . . U.S. lawmakers and Biden administration officials are stepping up pressure on American businesses to stop imports from the Western Chinese region of Xinjiang as Beijing’s alleged use of forced labor emerges as a top item on their bilateral trade agenda. Western officials say the Chinese government uses forced labor of Uyghur and other Muslim minorities in Xinjiang, the
world’s leading producer of cotton and raw materials used in solar panels. Imports of cotton and tomato products have already been effectively banned since January, and penalties on purchases of some solar materials were implemented in June.
Tougher restrictions are afoot. Congress is expected to approve legislation later this year that would prohibit imports of all products from Xinjiang unless the importer can prove their items are free of forced labor—a high bar. Wall Street Journal

The signs you have the delta variant are different than original COVID-19 . . . The delta variant of COVID-19 can have symptoms that are more mild and typically not associated with the virus that some may mistake the illness as allergies or another common sickness. Louisiana State Health Officer Joe Kanter said the delta variant of COVID-19 still has its usual symptoms like cough, fever, and shortness of breath. However, Kanter is
seeing many patients present with symptoms that appear to be run-of-the-mill illnesses, like sinus congestion, runny nose and sore throat. These symptoms could be signs that patients have the delta variant. The Hill

Biden Admin Backs Plan to Increase Disclosure Requirements for Cryptocurrency . . . The Biden administration is throwing its support behind a legislative push to make cryptocurrency brokers disclose user transactions to the federal government, the latest volley in a battle over digital currency regulation. The White House on Thursday signaled its support for an amendment to the Senate infrastructure bill that would
increase government control over the currently unregulated space. Cryptocurrency advocates say the amendment from Sens. Rob Portman (R., Ohio) and Mark Warner (D., Va.) would kill the rapidly growing industry in the United States. The amendment is the latest move from the Biden administration to rein in the cryptocurrency industry. Washington Free Beacon
McDonald's dealing with bag shortage due to 'pressures on the industry' . . . There’s been no shortage of shortages. As the restaurant industry is working to recover from the pandemic, it’s still being hit with new struggles. According to a new report, a major fast-food chain is facing a shortage of bags. McDonald’s is facing a bag shortage due to pressures in the industry, the Wall Street Journal reports. Over the past year, the
majority of restaurants across the country saw most of the business coming from take-out or delivery orders, which required them to use more bags than usual. About 81% of restaurant business was take out or delivery over the past 12 months. During the prior year, it was just 18%. Fox News
Companies giving Teslas, vacations to get workers back to the office . . . Want a free Tesla? Just show up to the office.
In lieu of simply mandating a return to the in-person daily grind, some companies are wooing workers with some tough-to-pass-up perks of getting back to work. And they’re going way beyond doling out free coffee and bagels. Luxurious vacations by private jet, cash prizes of $10,000 and even a Model S Tesla are all being raffled at random to vaccinated, in-person staff at global real estate group CoStar. The company, which Chief Human Resources Officer Michael Desmarais says
didn’t lay off a single employee throughout the pandemic, currently requires full vaccination to work in-person. They started welcoming workers back this past spring. New York Post

Melania Trump fires back at historian over Rose Garden criticism . . . Former first lady Melania Trump fired back at a historian who criticized the renovations she made to the White House Rose Garden last year, calling his remarks “misleading” and “dishonorable” before questioning his credibility. “.@BeschlossDC has proven his ignorance by showing a picture of the Rose Garden in its infancy. The Rose Garden is graced with a healthy &
