Good morning

Bernie Sanders: Why We Need the $3.5 Trillion Reconciliation Package . . . The good news is that the American Rescue Plan Act, enacted in March, has been effective. At a time of unprecedented health and economic crisis caused by the pandemic, it did exactly what a democratic government in a civilized society is supposed to do: respond to the needs of people in despair. The act provided much-needed direct payments to struggling families,
protected the unemployed, fed the hungry, prevented evictions, and allowed small businesses to survive. It helped jump-start the economy, which grew in the second quarter at an annualized rate of 6.5%. Perhaps most important, it provided funding for the government to expand the vaccine program and save thousands of lives.
The bad news is that the American Rescue Plan didn’t address the long-neglected structural crises that many U.S. families face: Three people own more wealth than the bottom 50%, real wages for workers haven’t increased in almost 50 years, and we are facing the existential threat of climate change. We need structural reforms to improve the lives of U.S. families. If Democrats can’t get Republican support for these reforms, then we have to do it alone through the reconciliation
process. We will provide undocumented people living in the U.S. with a pathway to citizenship, including Dreamers and the essential workers who courageously kept our economy running in the middle of a deadly pandemic. Wall Street Journal
This is the most frightening piece I've read in a long time. This Marxist B.S. person wants to end America, as we know it, transform it into a socialist hell, where everyone, eventually, will be equally poor and under total government control.
My fellow Americans, please fight this with everything you've got. Believe me, there's a reason why this utopia has failed everywhere else in the world. Socialism DOES NOT WORK. It will destroy America.
Rebekah Koffler: USSR 2.0 -- my adopted US homeland is giving me flashbacks to the Russia I fled . . . The COVID pandemic experience in the US served as a sneak preview of the horror movie called socialism. Born and raised in a totalitarian state, I am intimately familiar with government spying on ordinary citizens. Recent revelations about possible actions surrounding government surveillance by the NSA took me back 30 years ago to a
place that no longer exists, my birth country, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics – the USSR. Fox News
Marxism in America: The Culmination of a Decades-Long Movement . . . Sunday night I watched “Life, Liberty, and Levin” on television. My long-time friend and former colleague Paul Kengor was one of Mark Levin’s guests. The focus of the show was Levin’s new book, “American Marxism.” Kengor is a leading Cold War historian, an expert on Marxism, and a prolific author. The brilliant pair discussed how ubiquitous and ferociously aggressive Marxism
is in today’s America. What we’re witnessing is the culmination of trends that have been in place for at least a century. Epoch Times
Trump-backed Mike Carey wins GOP primary in Ohio special election . . . Mike Carey, an energy lobbyist supported by former President Trump, won the crowded GOP primary race in a special House election in a deep-red Ohio district Tuesday. The Associated Press called the race shortly after 9 p.m. ET. Carey led the pack with more than 37 percent of the vote, or just shy of 9,300 ballots cast in his name. State Sen. Bob Peterson, former
state Rep. Ron Hood and state Rep. Jeff LaRe rounded out the top four. Carey was a virtual unknown before winning Trump’s support and campaigned largely on the former president’s backing. He bested a crowd of roughly a dozen other primary contenders to run for the seat that was vacated by former Rep. Steve Stivers (R), who retired to run the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. The Hill

Taliban Commander Who Led Attack on Afghan City Was Released From Prison Last Year, Officials Say . . . The Taliban commander overseeing an assault on the key southern city of Lashkargah is one of 5,000 former prisoners released by the Afghan government last year under pressure from the U.S., Afghan and Western officials say. The commander, Mawlavi Talib, is one of thousands of former prisoners freed to further peace talks who have
returned to the battlefield to join the Taliban onslaught against cities around the country, Afghan officials say. The presence of the Taliban fighters is a fresh strain in relations between Washington and Kabul, as the U.S.-backed government struggles to fend off Taliban attacks throughout the country. WSJ
Biden starts major shakeup of ICE operations amid prediction of more migrant releases . . . The Biden administration has launched its first major reorganization of operations at ICE, dividing the agency’s detention actions into two sections, with one devoted specifically to managing released migrants. The custody management division previously oversaw migrants in detention and those released into communities while waiting for deportation
proceedings. That second group now will have its own division, the non-detained management division, according to an announcement sent within ICE and seen by The Washington Times

North Korea Is Willing to Talk, but First It Wants Fuel, Suits and Liquor . . . North Korea has a few demands to restart nuclear talks with the U.S., according to South Korea’s spy agency. Kim Jong Un’s regime wants sanctions restrictions relaxed to allow exporting minerals and importing more refined fuel. Also on the must-have list: fine suits and premium liquor.
Seoul’s spy agency on Tuesday briefed lawmakers about the demands from Pyongyang, without disclosing how or when intelligence officials learned of them. Since last week, the two countries have talked multiple times a day after reopening inter-Korean hotlines, following more than a year of silence. It was Kim Jong Un who asked to restore the hotline, Seoul’s spy agency told lawmakers. WSJ

Covid-19 Patients Overwhelm Busy Hospitals as Delta Variant Spreads . . . The latest wave of Covid-19 hospitalizations is crashing into patients returning for care for other ailments, overtaxing some facilities and exhausting their doctors and nurses. Surgeries and treatments for cancer, heart disease and other common conditions have rebounded this year, filling beds at many hospitals. At the same time, other
respiratory viruses, such as RSV, have re-emerged along with public gatherings, adding to hospital strain. Now some hospitals are treating more Covid-19 patients than ever before as the highly contagious Delta variant spreads, particularly where vaccination rates are lower. This new chapter of the protracted pandemic has exhausted hospital staff. WSJ
NYC to require COVID-19 vaccine proof for indoor dining, gyms, performances . . . New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday that customers must prove they have been vaccinated for COVID-19 to enjoy indoor dining, use gyms and attend public performances, making the Big Apple the first city in the nation to impose European-style rules for admission. “This is going to be a requirement,” the Democrat said at a press conference. Mr. de
Blasio said the policy, which includes venue workers, requires people to demonstrate that they have received at least one dose of an approved vaccine. Patrons can present federal vaccination cards or show proof on the NYC COVID SAFE app or statewide Excelsior app. He said requirements for tourists and out-of-state commuters likely will depend on the cards issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at the time of vaccination. Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone: Inflation is not going away . . . Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone notes that we have created a labor shortage in this country, which forces companies to pay higher wages, resulting in price increases. His argument is that inflation is not going away even after President Biden finally removes the final “emergency” $300 federal unemployment payment, because companies can’t suddenly reduce the salaries they’ve
already raised. Any of you who have run a business know that labor costs comprise the majority of your business costs. Inflation hurts everyone, but middle class and poor Americans the most. That is, average voters, who may in 2022 be inclined to throw the Democrats out of Congress and, in 2024, the White House. White House Dossier
CDC announces new 60-day eviction freeze for most US counties . . . The CDC announced a new 60-day eviction moratorium in counties where the transmission of COVID-19 is either “substantial” or “high.” The order, issued by CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, includes an initial expiration date of Oct. 3, but can be extended or rescinded based on changes in the spread of the virus. The CDC defines a “substantial” or “high”
transmission rate as at least 50 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people over a seven day period. According to the agency, 80.87 percent of US counties are currently experiencing these transmission rates. NYP

Journalism Groups Won’t Condemn NSA ‘Unmasking’ of Tucker Carlson . . . Most journalism advocacy groups, while boasting of defending a free press, declined to express concern about a government spy agency’s “unmasking” of Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson.vThe Daily Signal got mixed results last week when it asked CNN, The New York Times, and The Washington Post for comment on journalist-commentator Carlson’s treatment by
the National Security Agency, and met with a similar reaction this week from the Society of Professional Journalists and other major media groups. Daily Signal
'American Horror Story': Memos show NIH paid university to deliver fetuses intact, remove organs . . . The National Institutes of Health approved a $3.2 million grant to the University of Pittsburgh that involved inducing labor on full-term pregnant women and quickly removing organs from intact fetuses for its tissue bank, according to newly released public records. Brag about minimizing "warm ischemic time" suggests quick turnaround
between abortion and collection, Judicial Watch says. The 2015 grant application also promised about half the fetuses whose organs were removed would be nonwhite, including a quarter black. Judicial Watch sued NIH on behalf of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) following "inexplicable delays" by the agency in responding to the pro-life group's Freedom of Information Act request for the grant applications for Pitt's proposed "tissue hub and collection site," CMP said Tuesday.. ‘I Freaking Love Living There’: American Wrestler Praises The USA After Winning Gold . . . American wrestler Tamyra Mensah-Stock praised both the United States of America and God after winning her first gold medal ever at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday. “Of course I surprise myself, it’s by the grace of God I’m even able to move my feet,” Mensah-Stock shared during her presser after beating out second-seed Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu
4-1 in the 68-kilogram freestyle final. The reporter noted the American flag the athlete had draped around her shoulders and said it looked good there. He then asked the Olympic Gold medal winner how it felt to be able to represent her country in the games. Mensah-Stock just hugged the flag and said she loved living in the USA and said it felt
“It feels amazing,” the wrestler shared. “I love representing the US. I freaking love living there.” “And I’m so happy I get to represent USA!” Daily Caller
We need more people like this beautiful lady, speaking out at high-profile events. My sister and I pray every day that we live in America now, the best country in the world, instead of in Russia.
More immigrants must speak about their experiences in socialist 'sh-holes' (pardon my French, channeling DJT here). I would love to stand up some sort of Patriotic American
Immigrants' Coalition, to have a platform to tell the truth about socialism. American leftists who push socialism on this country have never actually experienced! If someone has an idea how to go about this please drop me a line.
