Biden: America Last or America Never . . . The anti-American elites, including those who were making huge amounts of money in China, deeply disliked President Trump’s emphasis on “America First.” They saw America First as repudiating and undermining their commitment to the international global elites. Now, the Biden administration is replacing America First with America Last — or possibly, America Never. The left
has committed itself to an “Alice in Wonderland” belief in a fantasy world that simply does not exist. As part of that process, the very survival of the United States is at risk. Secretary Blinken's recent overture to the United Nations exposes Biden's strategy of subordinating the United States to the dictator-dominated, corruption-riddled UN system, and the anti-American core of the Biden administration policies. Joe Biden wants amnesty, but US tally of illegal immigrants is deeply flawed . . . It is intriguing how the number of illegal immigrants that journalists cite as living in the United States never changes. For years on end, I’ve read that the population of America’s “undocumented” — a euphemism that seems to upbraid the receiving country’s bureaucrats for failing to issue its woefully overlooked residents the proper papers — is 11 million.
With the artificial precision that often attends these unverifiable figures, which derive their authority from sheer repetition, some journalists will quote the number as 11.3 million. A TRIO of academics affiliated with MIT and Yale University set about trying to reproduce that oft-quoted statistic by other means. The study's authors ran their model with a variety of credible inputs literally a million times. The results within a 95 percent probability lay between 16 million and 29 million,
with 22.1 million as the mean — or twice as many illegal immigrants as the Census Bureau figures imply. It matters how many illegal immigrants are truly living in the US, because President Biden has ambitions to offer them all a de facto amnesty and a path to citizenship. Should the president get his way, 35 million people rather than the expected 11 million will emerge from the shadows to apply for legal status. NY Post
Psaki: Users banned from one application for “misinformation” should be banned from all . . . The White House is courting intense criticism again Friday after press secretary Jen Psaki said that once users are banned from one social media platform for spreading coronavirus “misinformation,” they should be expelled from all others as well. Remarking on steps social media outlets could take for public health, she advised "You shouldn’t
be banned from one platform and not others if you are for providing misinformation out there.” White House Dossier
The left is on a road to eviscerating the First Amendment, pressing private companies that serve as outlets for speech to ban people completely because of “misinformation.” Who defines “misinformation”? Jen Psaki, apparently.
Majority of Arizona Republicans believe election audit will show Trump won, poll shows . . . The lion’s share of Republican voters in Arizona believe the ongoing audit of election results in Maricopa County will turn up enough evidence to show that former President Trump was the real winner in the state last year. An Arizona Public Opinion Pulse survey conducted by OH Predictive Insights found that 62% of registered Republican voters in
Arizona said the audit will show Mr. Trump beat President Biden in Arizona, compared to 2% of Democrats and 25% of independents who believe that. Washington Times
LGBT Activists Attack Left-Wing Muslim School Board Member For Not Being Pro-LGBT . . . A Muslim member of the Fairfax County School Board came under attack from a student-led LGBT advocacy group Friday for her alleged refusal to be a “100 percent ally” of the movement. The Pride Liberation Project (PLP) posted a letter Friday, accusing the school board member Abrar Omeish, of creating a “deeply hurtful and traumatic environment for
members” of the advocacy group during a June 21 phone call. Omeish allegedly expressed doubts about the necessity for an explicit encouragement of queer students, noting that there was a “difference between going after oppression and endorsing,” the letter claimed. Daily Caller
Virginia PTA official resigns after 'let them die' comments . . . A top official from the Virginia Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has resigned after being filmed saying, “Let them die” in reference to a group of people protesting the teaching of critical race theory. “Today, the Virginia PTA executive committee requested and received the resignation of Michelle Leete, who served as Vice President of Training,” the Virginia PTA
said in a statement posted on Twitter on Saturday. “While not speaking in her role within the Virginia PTA, we do not condone the choice of words used during a public event on Thursday, July 15, 2021.”
A video posted to Twitter on Thursday shows Leete speaking to a group of people outside a middle school where a Fairfax County School Board meeting was being held, CNN reported. Daily Caller
I was invited by a group of conservative Moms called Virginia Mavens, to speak at this anti-CRT rally. I spoke about my personal experience with totalitarian socialism and being indoctrinated, as a child, with the idiotic Marxist ideology, the CRT's predecessor. I also gave a couple of interviews to local TV stations. I haven't seen any press about that though.
Conservative radio host Larry Elder missing from California recall election candidate list . . . A list of 41 candidates running in the California gubernatorial recall election released Saturday by the state did not include Larry Elder, the conservative radio talk show host who declared his candidacy days earlier. The election is set for Sept. 14 to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom, after over 1.7 million Californians signed recall petitions.
Newsom's campaign missed a deadline to submit his Democratic party affiliation for the ballot, and a judge ruled that he could not add it afterwards. The list of candidates is missing Elder, a Republican. According to a statement from Elder's campaign spokeswoman, Ying Ma, "she expected him to be on the final list of candidates issued next week." In a statement, she said that was still unclear as to what requirement Elder, who announced his candidacy Monday, failed to meet. Just the News
Pence flatlines as 2024 field takes shape . . . Many Iowa Republicans had seen the results of the most recent Conservative Political Action Conference straw poll, released just days earlier, in which Pence flatlined, drawing no more than 1 percent support. Before that, they’d watched the video of Pence getting heckled and called a “traitor” at a major gathering of conservatives in Florida last month. “There are some Trump supporters
who think he’s the anti-Christ,” said one Iowa GOP official. “I don’t imagine he’d have a whole lot of support,” said Raymond Harre, vice chair of the GOP in eastern Iowa’s Scott County. Harre said Pence “did a good job as vice president,” nevertheless, he added “I don’t see him overcoming the negatives.” By most accounts, both here and nationally, Pence is dead in the early waters of 2024. Cyberattackers ignore Biden’s red lines . . . President Biden’s tough talk against cyberattacks from Russia has not stopped an onslaught of ransomware and hacks from hitting the U.S., cybersecurity professionals say. Mr. Biden said U.S. critical infrastructure was off-limits for Russia-based attackers and repeatedly admonished Russian President Vladimir Putin to take action against cyberattackers. The effort has failed to yield
an observable deterrent effect, said Michael Ellis, a former top lawyer at the National Security Agency appointed by President Trump. “I think it was a little naive perhaps to think that just Biden telling off Putin would actually lead to anything in and of itself,” Mr. Ellis said. Washington Times
US Scientists Call for Closer Research Ties With China . . . American professors are pushing for greater collaboration with Chinese Communist Party scientists even as experts explore the possibility that the deadly coronavirus pandemic originated in a Wuhan virology lab. Twenty-one American and 19 Chinese professors signed on to an article for the Environmental Science and Technology journal advocating for increased collaboration between
American and Chinese scientists. The journal is a publication of the American Chemical Society, one of the largest scientific societies in the world. Primarily authored by Glen Daigger of the University of Michigan and Jiuhui Qu of Tsinghua University in Beijing, the article downplays concerns about cooperation between the United States and China while pushing for tighter scientific research sharing and development. Nine of the American co-writers were educated at Chinese universities, and 18 of
the journal's editors work for Beijing-backed institutions. Washington Free Beacon

Patriot missiles shoot down drones in ‘historic’ first . . . U.S. Army missile defense units have carried out the first ever firing of Patriot surface-to-air missiles in Australia as part of joint exercises with U.S. allies there that are likely to agitate China, which is engaged in its own increasingly aggressive military moves in the region. Patriot missiles “successfully engaged drone targets” on Friday in what a U.S. military
statement described as a “historic first” test of the system in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland, Australia, during “Talisman Sabre 21” exercises that run through mid-August. U.S. officials say the exercises, which include participation of forces from Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, the U.K. and South Korea, aim to demonstrate the ability of the allied forces to move easily around the region in response to threats that may arise from any adversaries. Russia Sends U.S. Marine to Soviet-Era Gulag . . . Russian authorities transferred a U.S. Marine veteran imprisoned in the country for more than a year to a penal colony in a region known for Soviet-era gulags. Trevor Reed, who served in a Marine security detail tasked with protecting then-president Barack Obama, will likely serve the remainder of a nine-year sentence in a penal colony some 217 miles away from
Moscow. The American embassy and Reed's family say Russia subjected the Marine veteran to brutal conditions, denied him medical treatment, and limited his access to diplomatic services. Reed will join fellow Marine veteran and American citizen Paul Whelan in the region. Whelan, who was arrested on espionage charges in 2018, was moved to a penal colony in August 2020. Tokyo Olympics hit by rising Covid cases and scandals days before opening . . . Tokyo’s dreams of a trouble-free run-up to Friday’s Olympic opening ceremony have been shattered by a tally of Covid-19 infections, an alleged rape, a bullying scandal and a vanished weightlifter. Just four days before the start of what the head of the International Olympic Committee has described as “the most complex” games ever held, organizers said 58
people had tested positive for the virus since July 1. Those who have tested positive for Covid include athletes and officials, as well as media and contractors. Together, they are expected to account for more than 56,000 people entering Japan before and during the games. Financial Times

WHO Admits Rejecting Lab Leak Theory Was Wrong . . . The World Health Organization is having second thoughts about its dismissal last year of the lab leak theory origin for the COVID-19 pandemic. On Thursday, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus admitted that there was a “premature push” to rule the lab leak theory as “extremely unlikely.” Tedros sought to blame the unscientific rush to judgement on a
multitude of “unintended errors” within the WHO and vowed to correct them. Something tells us these errors were more of the politically intended variety rather than accidental, but we digress. At least the WHO is finally admitting that the lab leak hypothesis is not some crack-pot conspiracy theory. Patriot Post

Top Wall Street Executives Say Inflation Could Be Worse Than Predicted . . . Two of Wall Street’s top CEOs have differing views on inflation, but both diverge from the Federal Reserve’s predictions that price increases are transitory and will fade once supply shocks and other pressures ease. Larry Fink, chairman and CEO of BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, is convinced that inflation isn’t temporary, as he believes
deglobalization will lead to “systematically more inflation” in the future. “It is my view that inflation is going to be more systematical,” Fink told CNBC on July 14. “I believe it is a fundamental, foundational change in how we navigate economic policy.” Epoch Times
Controversy equals cash for Greene, Gaetz . . .
Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) are among the top-ranked fundraisers in the House, according to new Federal Election Commission filings, with each bringing in more than $1 million. Greene, who was stripped of her committee assignments earlier this year after expressing support for violence against Democrats, raised more than $1.5 million. Greene has also come under criticism from Republicans for remarks about the Holocaust. Gaetz has been mired in
controversy as investigators examine whether he violated federal sex trafficking laws. But he took in $1.4 million despite having to refund 50 campaign donations. The Hill

UFC Star Jorge Masvidal Calls Colin Kaepernick A Coward . . . Masvidal, who is the son of a Cuban refugee, has been very vocally supporting the protests and uprisings on the island against the dictatorship. Masvidal posted a photo on his Instagram story of Kaepernick in a Fidel Castro shirt, and wrote, “Cowards like this fool should be sent to live in Cuba see what they say after a day there.” Kaepernick wore a shirt
seemingly supporting the Castro regime back in 2016 and praised the dictator. Daily Caller
Nikole Hannah-Jones said Cuba is among 'most equal' countries because of socialism . . . In a 2019 podcast with Ezra Klein of Vox and The New York Times, Hannah-Jones was asked whether there were candidates or places that she thought had a "viable and sufficiently ambitious integration agenda." She responded that while she is not an expert on race relations internationally, she believed the most "equal" and "multiracial" country in the
Western hemisphere is Cuba, which she attributed to socialism. "The most equal multi-racial country in our hemisphere, it would be Cuba," Hannah-Jones said. Cuba has the least inequality between Black and white people anyplace really in the hemisphere." Fox News
The leftists who want to live under socialism and government control - rather than fomenting a revolution in America - should simply relocate to Cuba, Russia, China, and similar destinations. And we could take some of those Cubans and others who want to live under freedom and capitalism. What do you all say?
EPA squeeze on aftermarket car part sellers hurts classic car industry, Lankford says . . . Raids on aftermarket auto part vendors by the Environmental Protection Agency for evidence of emissions violations standards are harming the classic car industry, says Sen. Jim Lankford. Lankford, an Oklahoma Republican and a member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee recently took an interest in bipartisan legislation, which aims to
make clear that converting a street vehicle by emissions-related changes for exclusively competition purposes is legal. Additionally, it would affirm that manufacturing, selling, and installing racing parts into a vehicle is a legal act. The bill aims to reverse the EPA’s National Compliance Initiative, which focuses on halting the manufacture, sale, and installation of emissions “defeat devices” on vehicles and engines used on public roads, as well as on non-road vehicles and engines. WashPo report neglected spyware firm's Democratic connections in hacking investigation . . . The Washington Post neglected to reference an Israeli firm’s Democratic connections when releasing an investigation into a hacking scandal. On Sunday, the Washington Post published an article titled "Private Israeli spyware used to hack cellphones of journalists, activists worldwide." The investigative report revealed the Israeli firm
NSO Group was responsible for the successful hacks of 37 smartphones belonging to journalists, activists, and business executives. The piece explained, "Military-grade spyware licensed by an Israeli firm to governments for tracking terrorists and criminals was used in attempted and successful hacks of 37 smartphones belonging to journalists, human rights activists, business executives and two women close to murdered Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, according to an investigation by The
Washington Post and 16 media partners." Fox News

Concerned Canadian goose checks on mate undergoing surgery . . . Through sickness and health, Canadian geese stick together. A concerned Canadian goose went to check on her mate who was undergoing surgery at the New England Wildlife Center's Cape Cod Branch on Wednesday. The staff noticed that Arnold, who lives in a pond near the center, was limping. When the staff discovered he had two fractures on his foot and were about to
take him in for surgery, as they heard a tapping on the clinic door. Arnold's partner tracked him down and was attempting to get into the clinic to be by Arnold's side.
"She had somehow located him and was agitated that she could not get inside. She remained there throughout the entire procedure, watching us work, never moving from the doorway," staff said. The center said this was its first animal visitor and that it had to make an exception to accommodate her visitation request. After the surgery, they let him recover by the doorway from which he could see his mate. "His mate immediately calmed down and began to groom him through the
door," the center wrote. "They both seemed much more at ease in each other's presence." The pair may be separated for several weeks as Arnold recovers. UPI
