Good morning
Welcome to today's top news.
Leading the News . . .
Sharing with you my Op-Ed on Russia's perception of President Biden and a video of my appearance on Fox News yesterday. :-)
Rebekah Koffler: Russia's cyberattacks on America expose Biden's weakness . . . Another Russian cyber strike on the homeland has demonstrated the wishful thinking of the Biden Administration policy which aims to "reset" Russian President Vladimir Putin’s brain into a "friendly" one. U.S. President Joe Biden and his coterie of "experts"––who just finished a summit in Geneva where they sought to "stabilize" relations with Russia and asked
Putin to limit his cyberattacking habit––are merely projecting weakness to a Russian president who is not seeking stability and views cyberattacks as an invaluable tool. Along with sheer disrespect, there’s something even more disturbing that probably drives Putin’s decision calculus to ratchet up his cyber offensive: Moscow views Biden as weak and unlikely to fight back.
For months before the summit, the Russian media, most of which is state-controlled, was speculating about the deterioration of Biden’s mental health. They cited the perceived troubles by the U.S. president to "annunciate words," the "struggles to deliver even short speeches," once confusing former president Trump with Putin, and mispronouncing the Russian president’s name as "Klutin." Putin, who thoroughly cultivates his image of mental and physical toughness, probably sees the U.S.
president as inferior. Biden’s soft and incoherent policy towards Russia likely validates Putin’s conclusion. Fox News
Public loses faith in Biden on immigration ‘crisis’ . . . On no other issue has President Biden lost the faith of the country as quickly and thoroughly as immigration, where Americans tell pollsters they not only find his strategy lacking, but they actually yearn for a return to the Trump days. A series of polls show the public sides with security experts, border-region law enforcement and Border Patrol agents who say what’s going on at
the border is a crisis, and Mr. Biden’s ditching of Trump policies fostered it. In an Economist/ YouGov poll taken in late June, just 16% sided with Mr. Biden in rejecting the “crisis” label, including just 27% of self-identified Democrats. And of those who called the situation a crisis, a strong majority saw it as an immigration, security or crime crisis, rejecting the Biden administration’s attempt to portray it as a humanitarian situation. Washington Times
Poll: Majority of Likely Midterm Voters Say Biden Not in Charge of Agenda . . . The majority of likely voters in the 2022 midterm elections believe President Joe Biden is not directing his administration's policy and that others are in charge of the agenda, according to a nationwide poll. Fifty-seven percent of voters polled said Biden is not fully executing the duties of his office. Only 36 percent said he is fully in charge. About a
third of Democrats and more than three quarters of Republicans said others are directing the president's policy and agenda. The poll, conducted by the Convention of States Action and the Trafalgar Group, captured more than a thousand voters' opinions during June primary elections. Washington Free
Beacon
Voters blame Biden and Democrats, not filibuster, for gridlock . . . Even with the filibuster, the Democrats and President Biden could get more done. They are preaching unity but practicing another thing, routinely attacking Republicans and insisting on a radical agenda the country cannot afford, either in terms of policy or its finances. President Biden’s problems started with the Jan. 5 Georgia Senate runoffs, according to Spencer
Kimball, Emerson College Polling’s director. Democrats clinching a majority by the slimmest of margins, with Vice President Kamala Harris capable of casting tiebreaking votes as the voting president of the chamber, dominated headlines, but the party falling short of a filibuster-proof 60 votes received less attention, he explained. Biden plans executive order aimed at big agribusiness . . . The Biden administration is moving forward with new rules targeting what it sees as unfair practices in the agribusiness industry as part of an executive order on competition. “The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that it will engage in a series of rule-makings to increase competition in agricultural industries, to boost farmers' and ranchers’ earnings, fight back against
abuses of power by giant agribusiness corporations, and give farmers the right to repair their own equipment how they like,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday. The order will direct the USDA to issue new rules under the Packers and Stockyards Act that the White House says will make it easier for farmers to bring claims, help chicken farmers from being exploited and underpaid by chicken processors, and put in place anti-retaliation protections for those who speak out about
bad practices. Washington Examiner
Biden Relaxes COVID Safeguards for Migrants, Cracks Down on Agents . . . President Joe Biden insists that migrants pose no threat of spreading COVID-19 but treats Customs and Border Protection officials as superspreaders, according to interviews with agents and a review of agency documents. The agency ordered vaccinated Border Patrol agents to wear masks when fulfilling a number of official duties, even as Biden begins winding down a Trump
administration policy that gave the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection broad authority to turn away migrants who may carry disease. The June 15 directive, signed by then-deputy chief Raul Ortiz, mandates that "fully vaccinated U.S. Border Patrol personnel, contractors, and visitors … [wear masks] in ‘operation settings … due to increased risk situations involving potential contact with detainees, employees, and the public.'" Supreme Court delivers defeat to Harris with donor-privacy decision . . . Her name is no longer on the case, but Vice President Kamala Harris suffered a Supreme Court smackdown last week when the justices toppled California’s donor-disclosure requirement for charities. As California attorney general, Ms. Harris turned up the heat on charitable nonprofits by insisting that they submit to her office the names of leading donors, then
threatening to levy fines and suspend their state registrations if the groups refused to comply. After a six-year legal battle, the center and the Americans for Prosperity Foundation prevailed Thursday before the Supreme Court in a 6-3 decision that found California’s demand for donor data “facially unconstitutional.” Washington Times
DeSantis risks Trump backlash as his star rises . . . Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) meteoric rise in Republican politics is putting him on track for a possible clash with former President Trump, who is dangling the prospect of a third White House campaign. DeSantis’s popularity among the GOP faithful has mushroomed over his handling of the coronavirus, and he’s found himself at the center of several news cycles, including over his
signing of a controversial voting restriction bill and the collapse of a south Florida condominium building. That support and attention, combined with his reelection fight next year, are fueling speculation that DeSantis is gearing up for a 2024 run. But Trump remains wildly popular among Republican voters, and any move seen as trying to oust him from his role as party leader risks a backlash among his followers — and the former president himself. Cuomo announces 'gun violence disaster emergency,' targets manufacturers . . . New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order on Tuesday, declaring a "first-in-the-nation" disaster emergency on gun violence, and outlining several steps the state will be taking to quell the bloodshed, particularly that which affects at-risk youth. The Democratic governor also signed legislation that closed "a loophole that allowed people with
outstanding warrants for their arrest to purchase guns," according to a Tuesday press release. Fox Business
RNC says contractor breached in hack, GOP data secure . . . The Republican National Committee (RNC) on Tuesday acknowledged that one of its contractors had been breached by hackers linked to Russia but said its data had not been accessed.
Bloomberg News reported Tuesday that the Russian advanced persistent threat (APT) 29 group had breached the RNC’s computer systems last week by compromising Synnex, a third-party technology provider. The APT29 group, also known as “Cozy Bear,” is the same group that hacked the Democratic National Committee (DNC) ahead of the 2016 elections. It was also linked by U.S. intelligence agencies to last year’s SolarWinds hack, which compromised nine federal agencies. The Hill
RNC Denies Reports Of Russian Hacking . . . The Republican National Committee (RNC) is denying a report that a Russian government-linked group hacked its servers last week. Republican Party communications director Danielle Alvarez tweeted that the Bloomberg News story about the breach of RNC's systems was “not true.” Daily Caller
Biden to meet with federal agencies to address ransomware concerns this week . . . President Biden on Wednesday will meet with officials at several federal agencies to discuss solutions for confronting the ongoing wave of ransomware attacks.
“Tomorrow the president will convene key leaders across the interagency, including the State Department, Department of Justice, DHS [Department of Homeland Security] and members of the intelligence community to discuss ransomware and our overall strategic efforts to counter it,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters Tuesday. She stressed that the spike in ransomware attacks, including one Friday on software group Kaseya that potentially compromised up to 1,500
companies, was a key topic of concern for Biden. The Hill

Another mysterious fire at suspected nuclear site near Tehran . . . A fire erupted on Monday, July 5, at a factory or warehouse near Karaj City, 40 km north of Tehran. It occurred at the industrial center for a range of facilities connected to Iran’s nuclear program. Also near Karaj City, an explosive-laden UAV, on June 23, reportedly hit a facility reputed to manufacture centrifuges for enriching uranium.
Iranian sources clamed that the attack was thwarted without causing major damage. However, satellite images, including photos from the Israeli Intel Lab, later exposed a large hole at the rear of the building through which an expanse of scorched floor was visible. DEBKAfile’s Iranian sources note that various Iranian facilities have in recent weeks been beset by a series of large fires. DEBKAfile
Chinese researchers propose deflecting 'Armageddon' asteroids with rockets . . . Current estimates show there is roughly a 1% chance a 100-meter-wide asteroid would strike Earth in the next 100 years. Chinese researchers want to send more than 20 of China's largest rockets to practice turning away a sizable asteroid - a technique that may eventually be crucial if a killer rock is on a collision course with Earth. The idea is more
than science fiction. Sometime between late 2021 to early 2022, the United States will launch a robotic spacecraft to intercept two asteroids relatively close to Earth. When it arrives a year later, the NASA spacecraft will crash-land on the smaller of the two rocky bodies to see how much the asteroid's trajectory changes. It will be humanity's first try at changing the course of a celestial body. Fox Business
Don't be fooled. China is trying to portray its space weapons program as a peaceful research endeavor. The ultimate target is American satellites that enable our defenses.

Immigration Detention Centers are a Hotbed for the Coronavirus . . . According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), more than 26,000 migrants were being held in detention centers last week compared to 14,000 in April. To make matters worse, the rate of coronavirus infections among detainees is also on the rise, with 7,500 cases reported from April until the end of June. Only 20 percent of those passing through the
facilities have received at least one dose of the vaccine while in custody according to the May report from ICE. The lax COVID-19 safety protocols, frequent transfers between detention facilities, and insufficient testing are factors contributing to the hot-bed of infections seen at these centers. Gingrich360
Biden and Psaki: Government will be going door to door asking you to get vaccinated . . . According to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, the President will outline five areas his team is focused on to get more Americans vaccinated. One: targeted, community-by-community, door-to-door outreach to get remaining Americans vaccinated by ensuring they have the information they need on how both safe and accessible the vaccine is. YouTube’s Search Algorithm Directs Viewers to False and Sexualized Videos . . . YouTube has instituted many changes over the past year to limit the problematic videos it recommends to viewers. A new study suggests the repairs have a way to go.
Software nonprofit Mozilla Foundation found that YouTube’s powerful recommendation engine continues to direct viewers to videos that they say showed false claims and sexualized content, with the platform’s algorithms suggesting 71% of the videos that participants found objectionable. The Totalitarian Agenda Behind LGBT Sex-Ed Revolution at School . . . Extreme sexualization and LGBTQ+ indoctrination of children at younger and younger ages in public schools is now ubiquitous nationwide—and it’s part of a much broader agenda that goes well beyond just encouraging confusion and promiscuity for its own sake. The real goal is ultimately to destroy the nuclear family as the foundation of civilization, experts say. As Karl
Marx and countless other totalitarians understood, the state will step in to fill the void left by the family unit. In short, sex-ed is aimed at undermining the very building blocks of society. In the not-too-distant past, so-called sex-education for young children and normalizing gender confusion in tax-funded schools would have been unthinkable and even criminal. Epoch Times
I normally wouldn't include a piece like the one below in my newsletter. I am juxtaposing the pieces above and below to demonstrate that young people's current obsession with sexuality and twisted ideas could only be the result of the abusive indoctrination of children in public schools. Our kids are being robbed of their childhoods by the leftists. And it has to stop.
Gov. Cuomo’s Daughter Says She’s ‘Demisexual’ After Coming Out Previously As ‘Bisexual’ . . . Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s daughter Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo said she’s “demisexual” after coming out in June as “bisexual.” “When I was in elementary school, I feared that I was lesbian,” Michaela told the New York Post. “When I was in middle school, I came out to my family and close friends as bisexual,” she added. “When I was
in high school, I discovered pansexuality and thought, ‘That’s the flag for me.’ And I’ve recently learned more about demisexuality, and have believed that that identity resonates with me most.” Daily Caller
Seriously, in elementary school she had such thoughts? I don't even know what some of this stuff means! Go read a book, young lady. A normal book.
Raytheon Pushed CRT, Told White Employees To Confront Their ‘Privilege’ . . . Newly leaked documents show the second-largest defense contractor in America launched a Critical Race Theory (CRT) program last summer in which white employees are encouraged to confront their “privilege,” reject the principle of “equality,” and “defund the police.” Activist Christopher Rufo published internal documents from Raytheon Tuesday that give an
inside look into the company’s CRT programs. Raytheon CEO Greg Hayes launched the “Stronger Together” campaign, instructing employees on “becoming an anti-racist today,” asked all employees to sign a “corporate diversity” pledge and check their biases. Daily Caller
Mark Levin book ‘American Marxism’ rocks Amazon . . . It has not even been published yet, but Mark Levin’s forthcoming book “American Marxism” already has hit No. 2 at Amazon. “Levin explains how the core elements of Marxist ideology are now pervasive in American society and culture — from our schools, the press, and corporations, to Hollywood, the Democratic Party, and the Biden presidency — and how it is often cloaked in deceptive
labels like ‘progressivism,’ ‘democratic socialism,’ ‘social activism,’ and more,” says Threshold Editions, the conservative imprint of Simon & Schuster. Washington Times
‘The View’ ladies were ‘at their wits’ end’ before Meghan McCain’s exit . . . It’s the worst kept secret that Meghan McCain was not a favorite among the ladies at “The View.” But sources tell Page Six that she became so insufferable that even “chill” Whoopi Goldberg could no longer take her. “Everyone was at their wits’ end — even Whoopi, and she’s the chillest of them all. Whoopi is never going to advocate for anyone to get fired. She’s
not about that, but she was very clear that she no longer wanted to work with Meghan,” a source told Page Six. Business & Politics Review

Man bitten by neighbor’s escaped python in toilet in Austria . . . A man in Austria was bitten by a 5 1/4-foot python during an early-morning visit to the toilet at his home on Monday, police said. The reptile, which apparently escaped from a neighbor’s apartment and may have slithered through the drains, was cleaned and handed back to its owner. The 65-year-old victim "felt a ‘nip’ in the genital area" shortly
after sitting on the toilet at home in Graz just after 6 a.m. He then looked into the toilet and discovered the albino reticulated python. The snake apparently had escaped unnoticed from the apartment of the man’s 24-year-old neighbor. It wasn’t immediately possible to figure out how it escaped and how it got into the toilet, but police said it may have made its way through the drains. A reptile expert was called to retrieve the snake, which was returned to his owner. Fox News
I am afraid this is not satire. ;-)
