Two Nevada Counties Go ‘Constitutional’ . . . Elected officials have declared that the Bill of Rights will be upheld in their jurisdictions, even if it means standing against unconstitutional acts by state and federal authorities. According to a resolution approved in Elko County on June 2, abuse of the constitutionally protected rights of citizens in Elko and Lander counties will be “dealt with as criminal activity.” Officials in Lander
County approved a similar effort. Under the leadership of constitutionally minded sheriffs and elected commissioners, the two rural counties in Nevada decided to become “constitutional counties” where the rights of citizens will be protected from all attacks. That means local authorities intend to uphold the entire Bill of Rights in those jurisdictions, and that even federal and state officials must comply with the U.S. Constitution there, they said. Global nuclear arsenals grow as states continue to modernize . . . The nine nuclear-armed states—the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea)—together possessed an estimated 13 080 nuclear weapons at the start of 2021. This marked a decrease from the 13 400 that SIPRI estimated these states possessed at the beginning of 2020 (see table
below). Despite this overall decrease, the estimated number of nuclear weapons currently deployed with operational forces increased to 3825, from 3720 last year. Around 2000 of these—nearly all of which belonged to Russia or the USA—were kept in a state of high operational alert. SIPRI Yearbook 2021
Clear evidence that calls, by the starry-eyed "Global Zero" peaceniks, for the United States to unilaterally degrade its own nuclear deterrent are foolhardy.
Biden rallies western allies in global ‘contest’ against autocrats . . . Joe Biden has challenged leaders of G7 countries to use their financial muscle to counter China’s rising global influence as he declared that western democracies were “in a contest with autocrats”. The US president said he was “satisfied” with the outcome of the G7 summit in Cornwall on Sunday, but pushed European leaders to be more ambitious in backing an
alternative to China’s Belt and Road Initiative by offering a broad package of infrastructure funding to poor countries. European leaders at the summit, a gathering of the world’s largest advanced economies, were more cautious about antagonizing Beijing. Financial Times
A Visibly Confused, Tired-Looking Joe Biden Mixes Up Libya, Syria Three Times In Speech On Russia . . . President Joe Biden confused Libya and Syria three times during a Sunday press conference at the G-7 Summit in Cornwall, United Kingdom. The president was responding to a question from NBC News’ Peter Alexander about what actions the administration plans to take against Russian President Vladimir Putin. Biden talked about Russia’s
ongoing military actions in Syria, but three times mistakenly confused the country with Libya. Daily Caller
Biden-Connected Lobbying Outfit Teams Up with Leading Chinese Law Firm . . . China's biggest law firm is partnering with a top Democratic lobbying practice, which has sent at least 11 alumni to senior positions in the Biden administration. Albright Stonebridge Group, an advisory agency with deep ties to the Biden administration’s foreign policy team, announced it will partner with multinational law firm Dentons, which operates the largest
legal firm in China, to build a new joint venture in international commerce called Dentons Global Advisors. Dentons Global Advisors will focus on "commercial diplomacy" and government relations worldwide, but likely will capitalize on its founders' foothold within the Biden administration. Included among Albright Stonebridge alumni are several of President Joe Biden's top advisers on national security matters. Washington Free Beacon
Putin: Trump is an “extraordinary individual,” Biden a politics “career man” . . . Putin sat down for an interview with NBC News ahead of the June 16 summit with President Biden. “. . . former U.S. president Mr. Trump is an extraordinary individual, talented individual . . . ” Putin told NBC’s Keir Simmons during a wide-ranging and, at times, contentious interview. “He is a colorful individual. You may like him or not. And, but he didn’t
come from the U.S. establishment, he had not been part of big time politics before.” Biden “is radically different from Trump because President Biden is a career man. He has spent virtually his entire adulthood in politics. “That’s a different kind of person, and it is my great hope that yes, there are some advantages, some disadvantages . . .” Putin also laughed off Biden’s charge that he is a “killer.” White House Dossier
Putin -- who understands that Donald Trump is a "hot button" for the Washington Establishment politicians and half of Americans -- continues to fan the flames of discord by amplifying existing tensions in our society and pitting Americas against one another.
Biden says he is open to exchange of cybercriminals with Putin . . . US president Joe Biden said he was open to Russian president Vladimir Putin’s proposal to hand over cybercriminals to the US if Washington did the same for Moscow, just days before the two leaders meet for a summit in Geneva. Biden and Putin will sit down in Switzerland on Wednesday for their first face-to-face meeting since the former was sworn in as US president. Both
leaders said at the weekend that relations between their two countries were at a low point, but Biden’s latest comments suggested there could be room for co-operation. Speaking at the conclusion of a meeting of G7 leaders in the UK on Sunday, Biden told reporters he was receptive to Putin’s suggestion of reciprocal extradition of cybercriminals responsible for disruptive ransomware attacks. Financial Times
There's an effective way to deter cyber criminals from assaulting our networks.
Lobbyists for Putin’s Pipeline Dodge Foreign Agent Laws . . . Beltway firms lobbying for the Nord Stream 2 pipeline have dodged foreign lobbying laws, even though the Biden administration has affirmed that the company behind the project has engaged in sanctionable activity that serves the Kremlin’s geopolitical interests.
BGR Group and Roberti Global, two prominent Washington, D.C., consulting firms, have taken in nearly $9 million lobbying for Nord Stream 2 AG, the Swiss company building the pipeline. McLarty Inbound has received $2.6 million in fees from five private European companies that have loaned billions to Nord Stream 2. The company is based in Switzerland but wholly owned by Gazprom, a Russian gas company controlled by the Russian government. Washington Free Beacon
Five big upcoming Supreme Court decisions . . . The Supreme Court is poised for a whirlwind end of term, with justices expected to clear the court’s docket of more than 20 pending cases before July. The remaining disputes could yield several landmark decisions and provide the clearest indication yet of the 6-3 conservative court’s increasingly rightward tilt, with former President Trump’s nominees now accounting for three of the nine
justices. Here are five big cases to watch. 1. Same-sex foster parents and religious liberty. 2. ObamaCare challenge. 3. Voting rights. 4. NCAA athlete compensation. 5. Student free speech. The Hill
VP Harris slammed for marching in gay pride parade instead of visiting southern border . . . Vice President Kamala Harris has yet to visit the southern border, but she did turn up Saturday for the Capitol Pride Walk and Rally in Washington, D.C., as critics were quick to note. Ms. Harris, who became the first sitting vice president to march in a pride event, took plenty of flak on social media for her appearing at the festivities with her
husband Doug Emhoff after dodging questions about when she plans to witness the chaotic border situation. Washington Times
First things first.
Pelosi: 'I don't give up on Joe Manchin' . . . Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Sunday said she doesn’t “give up on Joe Manchin” after the Democratic West Virginia senator announced last week that he will vote against a sweeping bill to overhaul elections, putting the future of the legislation in question in the evenly split Senate. “I don't give up on Joe Manchin. When he was governor and secretary of state in West Virginia, he initiated
many of the initial ideas that are in ... the For the People Act,” Pelosi told host Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union.” The Hill
Omar the Jew Hater . . . In 1995, a 13-year-old Somali refugee arrived in the greatest country in the world, where she and her family were granted asylum. Ilhan Abdullahi Omar was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, and after fleeing to Kenya to escape the bloody tribal wars in her homeland, once in the U.S. she settled in Minneapolis. In addition to being the epicenter of the “systemic racism” lie, Minneapolis has a large Islamic population, which
earned it the title of terrorist-recruiting capital of the U.S. It is from this cesspool of hatred that Omar was elected to the U.S. House in 2018. She is a charter member of the uber-leftist America-hating “Squad” — four Marxists who are leading the socialist surge in the Democrat Party. Patriot Post
Democrats' first Trump impeachment tale in tatters . . . In the first of their two drives to impeach Donald Trump, Democrats had a simple storyline: The then-president abused his power by requesting an investigation of Hunter Biden's dealings in Ukraine when Joe Biden's son had done nothing wrong. That mantra carried through the 2020 election, repeated by Democrats and sympathetic news anchors. Now 18 months since the rushed Ukraine
impeachment vote in the House and subsequent Senate trial acquittal, a series of explosive revelations have come both from open records requests about the Biden family dealings with Burisma Holdings in Ukraine and emails from an abandoned Hunter Biden laptop now in the FBI's possession. The latest revelation shows that Hunter Biden was warned back in 2016 by his lawyers and business associates that he had failed to pay adequate taxes to the IRS on approximately $1 million he
collected from Burisma in 2014 and 2015. Just the News

White House Says NATO Will Launch ‘Ambitious’ Security Initiatives . . . The White House said on Sunday ahead of Monday’s NATO summit that alliance leaders would launch an “ambitious” set of initiatives to ensure it continues providing security through 2030 and beyond. It said the 30 member countries would agree to revise NATO’s “Strategic Concept” to guide its “approach to the evolving strategic environment, which includes Russia’s
aggressive policies and actions; challenges posed by the People’s Republic of China to our collective security, prosperity, and values; and transnational threats such as terrorism, cyber threats, and climate change.” The White House statement said the new Strategic Concept would be prepared for adoption at the 2022 NATO Summit. Lara Trump suggests residents near southern border 'arm up' . . . Lara Trump, former President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law, advised U.S. residents living along the southern border to "arm up" and "get guns" in response to the surge of migrants arriving there. Lara Trump argued that president Biden was responsible for cultivating a dangerous situation for those living in border communities. "I guess they better arm up,
get guns, and be ready, and maybe they're going to have to start taking matters into their own hands," she told Fox News. Washington Examiner
ATF Whittles Away at Second Amendment . . . The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives recently released a proposed firearms regulation that would effectively make millions of Americans criminals while doing next to nothing to stop actual crime. The new rule, should it be accepted, would effectively outlaw certain types of arm braces for pistols — devices that brace the firearm against the shooter’s arm to help with
accuracy. The ATF’s claimed rationale for banning pistol braces is that its increased accuracy makes the firearm more lethal. That’s one way to spin it. Undoubtedly, pistol braces do make for greater shooting accuracy, but why exactly is that a bad thing? The accuracy of a firearm actually makes it a safer and more suitable weapon for a law-abiding gun owner. Patriot Post
As Battle Against Virus Wanes, Mayors Confront a New Challenge: Crime . . . Mayors of American cities have yearned for the moment they could usher in a return to normalcy, casting away coronavirus restrictions on bars, restaurants, parties and public gatherings. Yet now, even with re-openings underway across the United States as the pandemic recedes, city leaders must contend with another crisis: a crime wave with no signs of ending. New York Times

Netanyahu goes ‘scorched earth’ on Biden admin in last speech . . . Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used his final speech in front of the Knesset Sunday to vow a swift return to office, attack his replacement and call out the Biden administration’s effort to revive the nuke deal with Iran. Netanyahu said Iran is 'celebrating' his loss. Fox News
Putin denies Russia is set to deliver an advanced satellite to Iran . . . Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed as “garbage” reported preparations to hand Iran an advanced satellite to improve its spying capabilities. In an NBC News interview on Friday, June 11 ahead of his Geneva summit with President Joe Biden, Putin said the report was “just fake news. At the very least, I don’t know anything about this kind of thing.” He added” We do
have cooperation plans with Iran, including military and technical cooperation,” but insisted that that report is “garbage.” DEBKAfile

Novavax Offers U.S. a Fourth Strong Covid-19 Vaccine . . . Novavax, a small American company announced on Monday the results of a clinical trial of its Covid-19 vaccine in the United States and Mexico, finding that its two-shot inoculation provides potent protection against the coronavirus. In the 29,960-person trial, the vaccine demonstrated an overall efficacy of 90.4 percent, on par with the vaccines made by Pfizer
and Moderna, and higher than the one-shot vaccine from Johnson & Johnson. The Novavax vaccine showed an efficacy of 100 percent at preventing moderate or severe disease. New York Times
While the U.S. is pumping out effective anti-COVID vaccines, like Nikita Khruschev's "sausages," the Chinese and the Russians are terrified to get vaxxed by their indigenously produced concoctions. Go, Capitalism and go, Operation Warp Speed, authorized by The Donald!

Oil Price Hits Pandemic High as Investors Bet on Green Energy . . . Money managers line up trillions of dollars for wind, solar and other renewable programs and expenditures on oil projects tumble. The drop in fossil-fuel spending is becoming so severe that energy companies could struggle to quench the world’s thirst for oil, some analysts say. Crude is still expected to remain in high demand over the next decade to make transportation fuels
and petrochemicals used for plastics and other household products. U.S. consumption has surged lately following the worst of the coronavirus pandemic, and output cuts by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries have given prices a further boost. Wall Street Journal
G-7 leaders hammer out a global minimum tax for companies. Here's how it would work . . . President Biden and leaders of the G-7 group of nations formally endorsed a global minimum corporate tax rate on Friday, a landmark agreement that's part of a broader effort to crack down on profit-shifting by multinational companies. Corporations employ a litany of tactics to reduce their tax liability, often by shifting profits, and revenues, to
low-tax countries such as Bermuda, the Cayman Islands or Ireland, regardless of where the sale was made. The practice by American and foreign multinationals costs the U.S. tens of billions of dollars each year, according to the Treasury Department. Fox Business

National Parent Group Emerges to Fight ‘Woke’ Education, Says It Harms Children . . . Elana Fishbein, a stay-at-home mother, raising her three boys in a well-off Philadelphia suburb, noticed the school that two of her boys attended would push out some lessons and activities that she considered politically biased or inappropriate. Each time she was able to resolve the situation by opting her children out. In June last
year, however, she saw no other choice than to take action.
The lesson plan and the links to the books that the school included for the lesson plan were totally racist,” she told The Epoch Times. The events that followed led to the launch of a group that now runs chapters in nearly half the states, sporting tens of thousands of followers. Epoch Times
Communism Survivor Speaks Out Against Critical Race Theory . . . On Thursday, Xi Van Fleet was interviewed by Fox News host Sean Hannity about why she spoke out against critical race theory during a recent school board meeting in Loudoun County, Virginia and said the theory was the “American version of the Chinese Cultural Revolution.” Xi Van Fleet: I’ve been very alarmed by what’s going on in our school. You are now teaching, training
our children to be social justice warriors and to loathe our country and our history. Growing up in Mao’s China, all this seems very familiar. The communist regime used the same critical theory to divide people. The only difference is they use class instead of race. This is indeed the American version of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. The critical race theory has its roots in cultural Marxism. It should have no place in our schools. Daily Signal
Having grown up in the totalitarian socialist USSR, I agree with Xi Van Fleet!

World's Economy Saved As Giant Crack In Earth Swallows Up All G7 Conference Attendees . . . CORNWALL—A sudden earthquake opened up a crack in the earth's crust and swallowed up all G7 world leaders in mere seconds. Witnesses reported feeling a low rumble beneath their feet as Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau, Angela Merkel, and others gathered on the green grass for a photo op. The rumble grew to a roar as the ground below
them opened up and dragged every G7 leader into the depths of the earth. Experts are unsure who will be taking over the important work of running the planet."This is such a disaster. What will we ever do without them?" said 1 or 2 people around the world. World governments have assured their citizens they will continue the important work of building back better for everyone. American citizens will be mourning the terrible loss this weekend with backyard barbecues. Babylon Bee
