Devin Nunes warns intel chiefs against targeting Americans, ‘particularly Republicans’ . . . Republicans are putting the Biden intelligence chiefs on notice that their agencies are moving dangerously close to spying on Americans in the US. They raised concerns on Thursday at the House Intelligence Committee hearing featuring President Biden’s five top intelligence officials, including Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines and FBI
Director Christopher A. Wray. In March, Ms. Haines released a report, “Domestic Violent Extremism Poses Heightened Threat in 2021.” Some Republicans believe it was part of a Biden administration plan, in the wake of the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot by Trump supporters, to portray conservatives as domestic threats. “The Democrats see political benefits in characterizing wide swaths of American citizens particularly Republicans and conservatives as politically suspect, politically
violent and deserving of government surveillance,” said Rep. Devin Nunes of California, the panel’s top Republican. Washington Times
DOJ Is Investigating Ex-Trump Official Who Debunked Russia Collusion Narrative . . . Kash Patel, the former GOP congressional aide who uncovered the FBI’s surveillance abuse against the Trump campaign, is reportedly the target of a federal leak investigation. The Washington Post reported Friday that two sources familiar with the probe said that Patel is being investigated for unauthorized disclosures of classified
information. The investigation was sparked by a complaint made by an intelligence agency. By his own admission, Patel has ruffled feathers in the intelligence community, FBI and Justice Department due to his aggressive efforts to unlock details of the counterintelligence investigation against the 2016 Trump campaign. Patel served as an investigator for Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee before joining the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the
Defense Department during the Trump administration. Daily Caller

Biden Breaks With His Own Admin And Calls Border Situation a ‘Crisis,’ . . . President Joe Biden broke with his own administration Saturday, referring to the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border as a “crisis” for the first time. Biden addressed his position on refugee admissions — which he had reversed on Friday. “We’re going to increase the number [of refugees allowed into the country]. The problem was that the refugee
part was working on the crisis that ended up on the border with young people,” Biden said. Daily Caller
Lack of resources lets fake families cross border without punishment . . . Fake families are pouring through again. Yet the Homeland Security Department’s use of DNA testing to validate family relationships has plummeted more than 90% this year, according to the latest statistics. From Oct. 1 through March 29, just 76 families had been flagged for DNA testing, and only three showed no relationships. No one was prosecuted. In fiscal year
2020, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement recorded 2,272 supposed families tested, and 120 came back as no relation. Authorities brought 100 prosecutions. Washington Times
‘Maxine Waters Calls On Daunte Wright Protesters To Show The World That They ‘Mean Business’ . . . Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters joined protesters on the ground in Brooklyn Center, Minn., and called for continued action. Waters encouraged protesters to stay out on the streets if they don’t get “justice” in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who was charged in the May 2020 death of George
Floyd. “We’ve got to stay on the street, and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational,” Waters said, insisting that, in her mind, Chauvin was guilty of murder in the first degree. “We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.” Daily Caller
This is what the real incitement of violence sounds like.
GOP seeks to expose Antifa violence as Democrats look the other way . . . Republicans are banking on public congressional hearings to spotlight the violence carried out by left-wing Antifa radicals in the face of what they see as denial by national media, Democrats and the Biden administration. They are using the tactic as Antifa ramps up violence in Portland, Oregon, and other cities including, Minneapolis and Washington, in the
aftermath of police killings of Black suspects. Antifa extremists, in the name of countering fascism, set more fires Saturday in downtown Portland, an area already pockmarked by boarded-up businesses. Republicans have used three recent House and Senate hearings to counter Democrats’ hands-off approach to Antifa. Washington Times
UNRWA Caught Teaching Terrorism, Jew Hatred as Biden Resumes Taxpayer Funding . . . The United Nations’ Palestinian refugee agency is promoting violence against Israel and using educational materials that call for the Jewish state’s destruction, according to video evidence and copies of lesson plans being taught to children before and during the coronavirus pandemic.
The U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which is in charge of providing education to scores of Palestinian children, has done little to root out anti-Semitism and the glorification of terrorism from its official lesson plans, although it has repeatedly pledged to do so.
The Biden administration moved almost immediately to restart U.S. funding for UNRWA despite underlying concerns about the agency’s radical educational materials—fears that have been raised by U.S. lawmakers on both sides of the aisle in recent years. Washington Free

GOP believes Democrats handing them winning 2022 campaign . . . Republicans are riding high about their prospects for retaking both chambers of Congress in the upcoming midterms, thanks to the abundant campaign fodder they believe Democrats and the Biden administration have handed them in recent weeks.
Conservatives pointed to the surge of migrants at the southern border; difficulties getting kids back in school for in-person learning amid the pandemic; massive spending from the White House and Democratic-controlled Congress; the inclusion of progressive priorities in infrastructure and economic relief bills; and most recently a push among some Democrats to expand the Supreme Court as actions that will offer campaign fodder for Republicans in the months to come. Trump's post-DC plan takes shape with rollout of America First funding, policy, messaging arms . . . With eyes on 2022 midterms, former president hopes to make Washington more Republican and GOP more Trumpian. Trump's plans for a politically active post-presidential role are coming into public focus and moving into its operational stages, with the launch of a network of political funding vehicles and public messaging
platforms. Most prominently, there is the former president's leadership PAC — the Save America PAC — which has a war chest totaling more than $85 million heading into the second quarter of this year. Just the News
Parade of 2024 GOP hopefuls court House conservatives . . . The road to the 2024 GOP presidential nomination appears to have a new stop along the way: an influential group of House conservatives. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) has addressed the Republican Study Committee about the surge of migrants at the border. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) told the conservative group last week they need to get tougher on President Biden and that
former President Trump was to blame for losing the White House and Senate. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will join the Republican Study Committee (RSC) this week at a news conference on Iran. And Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Kristi Noem and Marco Rubio are expected to meet with the group in the coming weeks and months. Welcome to the 2024 RSC primaries. The Hill
Hawley introduces legislation targeting Amazon, Google antitrust concerns . . . Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) on Monday introduced legislation that targets Big Tech groups including Amazon and Google by making it more difficult to market and use certain online services. The Bust Up Big Tech Act would ban tech companies that market search engines, marketplaces, and exchanges from advertising or selling their own goods and services on their
websites in a way that competes with third-party groups. The Hill

Russian cyber spies used Microsoft code in massive SolarWinds hack . . . The sprawling, monthslong hacking campaign deemed a grave threat to U.S. national security came to be known as SolarWinds for the company whose software update Russian intelligence agents stealthily seeded with malware to penetrate sensitive government and private networks. This has put the world’s third-most valuable company in the hot seat.
Because its products are a de facto monoculture in government and industry — with more than 85% market share — federal lawmakers are insisting that Microsoft swiftly upgrade security to what they say it should have provided in the first place, and without fleecing taxpayers. Fox Business
I n two-war scenario, could U.S. forces prevail against powerful enemies? . . . The U.S. previously approached multi-war scenarios with a doctrine to "defeat; defeat; deny" up to three enemies. As international tensions prompt speculation about impending hot war around the world, an old question has gained new urgency: If the United States were drawn into simultaneous conflicts, would American forces prevail? Scenarios include major
flare-ups with Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and transnational terrorists, mixed in with regional conflicts in Africa, the Arctic, and elsewhere. The threats are complex, according to an April assessment from the U.S. Director of National Intelligence, and carry a "potential for cascading events." Engaging in two simultaneous large scale conflicts would present a problem for U.S. forces, according to one Washington, D.C.-based think tank. Just the News
Biden Bows to Putin, Cancels Deployment of War Ships . . . The US has canceled the deployment of two warships to the Black Sea, Turkish diplomatic sources said on Wednesday, amid concerns over a Russian military build-up on Ukraine's borders.
Washington and NATO have been alarmed by the build-up near Ukraine and in Crimea, the peninsula that Moscow annexed from Ukraine in 2014. Last week, Turkey said Washington would send two warships to the Black Sea, in a decision Russia called an unfriendly provocation. U.S. officials said that Turkey may have misunderstood the initial notification and the deployment was never confirmed. Washington Free Beacon

Half of adult population in US has received at least one vaccine dose . . . Over half of all adults in the United States have received at least one vaccine dose. A total of 50.4% of U.S. residents above the age of 18 have received at least one inoculation, equating to 129,988,985 people, according to data from the CDC. Approximately 32.5% of U.S. adults are fully vaccinated. Eighty-one percent of the nation's seniors who are over 65
have gotten at least one dose, which represents 44,328,500 people, and more than 65% of those 65 or older are fully vaccinated against the virus. Washington Examiner
Israel ends outdoor mask mandate . . . Israel ended its outdoor mask mandate Sunday, now that about 80 percent of its adult population has received both doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, reports said. At the start of the pandemic last year, Israel required residents to wear face coverings while they were outside as long as they weren’t exercising. But now that close to 5 million people in Israel have received the two-dose vaccine,
health officials are starting to ease restrictions. New York Post

Putin blocks key Biden Admin officials from entering Russia . . . The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday announced that eight top U.S. intelligence officials, including several members of President Biden’s Cabinet, were banned from entering Russia in retaliation for recent U.S. sanctions levied on the nation. Those banned from entry include Cabinet members Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Director of
National Intelligence Avril Haines and Attorney General Merrick Garland. Other Biden administration officials barred beginning Friday were FBI Director Christopher Wray, Domestic Policy Council Director Susan Rice and Federal Bureau of Prisons Director Michael Carvajal. Former CIA Director R. James Woolsey, who served during the Clinton administration, and John Bolton, former President Trump’s national security adviser, were also barred from entering Russia. All of them couldn't wait to hop on Aeroflot to visit Red Square.
Pope Francis appeals for peace in eastern Ukraine . . . Russia has warned Ukraine against using force to reclaim territory controlled by Russian-backed rebels in the east. Moscow is backing up its rhetoric by stationing thousands of troops along its borders with Ukraine. That worries the NATO military alliance explains its secretary-general, Jens Stoltenberg. "Russia has moved thousands of combat troops to Ukraine's borders, the largest
massing of Russian troops since the illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014," he said. Also, two Russian warships were en route to the Black Sea on Saturday. Besides, 15 smaller Russian vessels completed a transfer to the sea as Moscow beefs up its naval presence because of tense relations with the West and Ukraine. Vatican News

SpaceX wins $2.9bn Nasa contract to land Americans on the moon . . . Elon Musk’s SpaceX is set to return American astronauts to the surface of the moon, beating rival tech billionaire Jeff Bezos to one of the most prominent prizes in the commercial space race. Nasa on Friday named SpaceX as the sole contractor to build its next lunar lander and carry out a single demonstration visit to the moon, potentially as soon as
2024. SpaceX offered to build and operate its lander for $2.9bn, which was “significantly” less than a rival bid from Bezos’ Blue Origin. Financial Times

Dad writes scathing letter to Manhattan prep school obsessed with "anti-racism" . . . A father at the prestigious, $54,000-a-year Brearley School sent a scathing, nearly 1700-word letter to the institution’s roughly 600 families over Brearley’s “obsession with race.” The letter by Andrew Gutmann explained why he was pulling his daughter out of the Upper East Side school after seven years. She started there in kindergarten. "If
Brearley’s administration was truly concerned about so-called “equity,” it would be discussing the cessation of admissions preferences for legacies, siblings, and those families with especially deep pockets. If the administration was genuinely serious about “diversity,” it would not insist on the indoctrination of its students, and their families, to a single mindset, most reminiscent of the Chinese Cultural Revolution." Bari Weiss Substack
You must read this letter. It's the most powerful piece I've read recently. It gives me hope that more and more people begin to call the leftists' BS regarding their outrageous racism under the guise of 'anti-racism.'
Armed 'good Samaritan' saves security guard after shoplifter pulls gun . . . An armed person in Indiana is being heralded as a hero after stopping an armed shoplifter and preventing any injury to a Walmart security guard. "It is phenomenal that when we needed the community, they were right there with us," said Indianapolis police officer Samone Burris. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department credited two
unidentified individuals, one of whom is a licensed gun owner, as “good Samaritans” who prevented what could have been a violent or even lethal situation on Saturday. Washington Examiner
William Barr, Amy Coney Barrett land book deals . . . While some veterans of Donald Trump’s administration are having a tough time selling memoirs about their time in power, others with ties to Trump who didn’t embrace his election conspiracy theories have sold book deals. William Barr, Trump’s former attorney general who resigned two days before Christmas after disagreeing publicly with Trump’s voter fraud conspiracy theories, recently
sold a book about his time at the Justice Department, according to three people familiar with the deal. Justice Amy Coney Barrett, Trump’s last pick for the Supreme Court, has also sold a book — garnering a $2 million advance for a tome about how judges are not supposed to bring their personal feelings into how they rule. From Russia to Britain, Philip’s royal ties spanned Europe . . . Prince Philip’s life spanned a century of European history. His family ties were just as broad, with Britain’s longest-serving consort linked by blood and marriage to most of the continent’s royal houses. “If Queen Victoria is considered the grandmother of Europe, Prince Philip is the uncle of Europe,” said Vassilis Koutsavlis, president of the Tatoi Royal Estate Friends
Association. It’s in that densely wooded estate at the foot of a mountain north of Athens that Philip’s father, Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark, lies buried. The Tatoi estate housed the royal summer residence and the royal cemetery, dotted with the tombs of Philip’s relatives: kings and queens of Greece, princes and princesses of Denmark, grand duchesses of Russia and even a distant relative of Napoleon Bonaparte. After a successful 2020, media organizations have announced a cooperative effort to create at least 25% more racism in the year 2021 . . . "Racism is our lifeblood, it's what we live to talk about every single day," said CNN President Jeff Zucker. "We work diligently to find it everywhere we can-- and when we can't find it, we must create it. This year, we are redoubling our efforts to bathe the American public in racial
resentment until everyone is living in despair and agrees how terrible our country is!" "It's an important service we provide for the people," he continued.
Major media companies such as ABC, NBC, and CBS confirmed they will be cooperating to ensure every news story and piece of entertainment is selectively chosen and edited to hide the truth, skew reality, and tell a narrative of racism and discrimination.
"It's the right thing to do," said one NBC producer. Sources confirmed that once racism has successfully caused the dismantling of America's legal system, they will move on to climate change to dismantle America's economic system. Babylon Bee
Still satire. So far. ;-)
