Iran Helped Plot Attack
on Israel Over Several Weeks . . . Iranian security officials helped plan Hamas’s Saturday surprise attack on Israel and gave the green light for the assault at a meeting in Beirut last Monday, according to senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah, another Iran-backed militant group. Officers of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had worked with Hamas since August to devise the air, land and sea incursions—the most significant breach of Israel’s borders since the 1973 Yom Kippur
War—those people said.
Details of the operation were refined during several meetings in Beirut attended by IRGC officers and representatives of four Iran-backed militant groups, including Hamas, which holds power in Gaza, and Hezbollah, a Shiite militant group and political faction in Lebanon, they said. U.S. officials say they haven’t seen evidence of Tehran’s involvement. Wall Street Journal

on Iowa in a gamble to close the polling gap between him and 2024 Republican primary front-runner former President Donald Trump. DeSantis this week asked approximately one-third of his aides in Tallahassee, Florida, to move to Iowa 3 1/2 months before the caucuses. But time and money are limited resources for the governor, once considered the GOP's best hope of undermining Trump. Washington Examiner

State Department says it considered Burisma corrupt, but kept dealing
with its reps anyways . . . During Donald Trump's first impeachment in 2019, State Department officials insisted they considered the Burisma Holdings energy firm in Ukraine that employed Hunter Biden to be corrupt and wanted nothing to do with it. But evidence that has emerged since shows U.S. embassy officials had extensive interactions with Burisma and its representatives between 2015 and 2018. The evidence marks the latest evolution of a Democrat-driven narrative on the Bidens and
Ukraine that was used to impeach Trump but that has since eroded under scrutiny. Just the News

Reckoning needed after Biden’s failed foreign policy gave Hamas’ terror the element of surprise . . . The weekend’s depraved attack by Iran-sponsored Hamas terrorists on Israel reportedly blindsided US and Israeli intelligence. How could that be? Any postmortem on
what went wrong has to include: The Biden administration’s preoccupation with its diabolical Iran nuclear deal, the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action launched by the Obama administration, scrapped by Trump’s, and reanimated by President Biden and his Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The recent bust of an Iranian spy ring said to reach into the highest levels of the State Department and the Pentagon. The crackdown on anti-Iranian dissident group MEK in Albania in June. Israel’s Intelligence Failure . . . Israel’s political misjudgments about Hamas’ intentions,
especially in the context of recent hopeful movements toward further peace agreements with Arab countries including a deal with Saudi Arabia, may well have played a background role in lowering the country’s vigilance. But it is no excuse for the massive intelligence failure that allowed Hamas to pull off its deadly surprise offensive. Indeed, Israeli wishful thinking is not even relevant to Saturday’s disaster, because the 24/7 scrutiny of enemy doings and undoings to detect “threat indicators”
is not supposed to be switched off for any reason, ever. Tablet
Question is how come te US intelligence didn't provide any warning to our ally Israel? Is all the focus within our spy agencies exclusively on Russia-Ukraine, at the expense of other targets? Or was it a intentional intel failure? Inquiring minds want to know.

Attack on Israel boosts appeal of gold, safe-haven assets . . . The violence in Israel that erupted this weekend is prompting a move into safe-haven assets as investors closely watch events in the Middle East to gauge the geopolitical risk to markets. Gunmen from the Palestinian group Hamas entered Israel in an unprecedented attack on Saturday. Western countries, led by the United States, denounced the attack and
pledged support for Israel. Rising geopolitical risk would see buying in assets like gold and the dollar, and boost demand for U.S. Treasuries, which have been sold off aggressively, analysts said over the weekend. Reuters

The Culture Wars Are Giving the
GOP an Opening with Muslim Voters . . . As many Republican leaders embrace a message of alarm surrounding LGBTQ+ issues, particularly regarding what is being included in school curriculums and library books, one group historically at odds with the GOP has become a potential ally.
Muslim Americans have made historic political and cultural gains in the past couple of decades since the
September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, which were followed by a wave of Islamophobic sentiment and suspicion. Most of those gains—from the rise of lawmakers such as Democratic Representatives Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan to the popularity of cultural figures such as comedians Hasan Minhaj and Ramy Youssef—have appeared to align largely with the political left. Secret Agent Fauci . . . NIAID boss taps CIA to spread the coverup. Dr. Anthony Fauci, longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), once paid a covert visit to the Central Intelligence Agency. Rep. Brad Westrup, chairman of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, wants to know if Fauci succeeded in gaining CIA support for his contention that the pandemic
arose naturally in the wild, what he calls “proximal origin.” Sen. Rand Paul, a medical doctor who has called for a criminal investigation of Fauci, outlines the possibilities. Dr. Fauci may have “convinced the CIA to dishonestly obscure the lab origin of COVID.” It is also possible that “the CIA convinced Fauci to obscure the lab origin of COVID.” Or, as Paul sees it, “An outside entity or person with unlimited monetary resources convinced Fauci to influence the CIA to obscure the lab origin of
COVID.” By now that should be obvious to all but the willfully blind. Even the FBI now inclines to the laboratory origin, and the evidence is strong. American Greatness
