Cut to the News
Cut through the clutter to today's top news

Good evening. It's Tuesday, May 9, 2017

Here is today's top news. I've included the piece I wrote on Comey, even though I sent it out earlier, because it has been substantially updated. Comey's firing will launch a new round of partisan warfare in Washington. Democrats are going to try to turn Trump into Richard Nixon. I don't know exactly why Trump fired Comey. But it is pretty clear that Comey has screwed up plenty, and that he abrogated his responsibility as the nation's top cop by refusing to recommend that Hillary Clinton be charged. And he should never have agreed to make the decision himself instead of making Loretta Lynch and Barack Obama take the heat.

From White House Dossier:
*Trump's schedule is released in the evening, and the link may not be updated yet.

And in other news . . .

Have a nice evening.
