Iran gets the Deal of the Century . . . The thing that no one, supporter or opponent, can deny about the Iran deal is this: Under
the agreed “framework,” after ten or 15 years, Iran will be permitted to develop all the nuclear weapons it wants. This agreement is not, as the White House claimed it would be, a deal to stop Iran’s nuclear weapons program. It is merely a way to manage and delay it. White House Dossier Obama, allies Iran hail accord as skeptics slam it . . . Skeptics were out in force by Thursday night, and a fact sheet that the State Department circulated to reporters showed a clear gap between the president’s rhetoric and the terms of the agreement by Washington and its allies. Agreement set to collide with Capitol Hill . . . Republican leaders reaffirmed their intent to vote on legislation giving Congress the last word. Tennessee Republican Sen. Bob Corker, chairman of the
Foreign Relations Committee, said the panel would vote on such a measure when lawmakers return from a spring recess on April 14. "The administration first should seek the input of the American people," Corker said. Some Democrats have backed Corker's quest for a congressional vote on an Iran deal, raising the possibility that lawmakers could override a presidential veto. Associated Press Iran celebrates as Foreign Minister Zarif is hailed as a hero.
Iran accuses U.S. of lying about the deal . . . Breitbart Why trust Obama this time? . . . The president has a terrible record of initial public pronouncements
on national security. He has a habit of confidently stating things that turn out not to be true. Three times in the last four years he has appeared in the Rose Garden and made assertions that were later proven to be false. Matthew Continetti Nobel Peace Prize for Kerry and Zarif? . . . "There is even some discussion that it is possible, depending on how this goes, whether or not it is finally signed at the end of June, beginning of July, and whether or not it is actually deemed an effective document, a good deal, that
it could actually portend the possible nomination of not only Secretary Kerry but possibly even the Iranian Foreign Minister for a Nobel Peace Prize,” says NBC's Ann Curry. Breitbart Kerry no doubt hoped the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations would land him the prize. No luck. Now he has another pathway.
Krauthammer: Sanctions will never come back . . . Reacting to the U.S. and Iran tentatively agreeing to a nuclear deal, columnist Charles Krauthammer lamented Thursday that there is “not a chance in the world” sanctions could return if they are lifted in the coming

Outrage in Israel across the political spectrum . . . After years of lobbying against an agreement over Iran’s nuclear program, Israelis across the political spectrum expressed outrage that six world powers were
headed to a deal that many here see as upending the Middle East’s fragile balance of power.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was among the loudest critics Thursday. “A deal based on this framework would threaten the survival of Israel,” he said, following a call with President Barack Obama. “This deal would legitimize Iran’s nuclear program, bolster Iran’s economy, and increase Iran’s aggression and terror throughout the Middle East and beyond.”
“Deal or no
deal, Israel will do what is needed to protect itself and its citizens,” said Naftali Bennett, Israel’s right-wing economy minister, whom Mr. Netanyahu has promised a key post. “The world’s most radical Islamic terror regime received today an official kosher stamp for its illicit nuclear program.”
Mr. Netanyahu’s foes were also critical, underscoring Israel’s widespread rejection of an agreement with Tehran “On the Iranian nuclear issue there is no opposition and
coalition,” said Yair Lapid, head of centrist party Yesh Atid. “We are all concerned that the Iranians will circumvent the deal and Israel must protect its own security interests.”
That skepticism was also expressed by Israelis outside politics. Erez Hamami, a real-estate lawyer from a Tel Aviv suburb, said the details of the agreement hardly mattered because he doesn’t trust Iran to comply. “This is not the way you negotiate with bullies. You should only negotiate with
the Iranians when they are on their knees,” he said. “The problem is that [U.S. Secretary of State John] Kerry put himself on the same level as them. You don’t chase after them.” Wall
